Mine too. I think it's just a buzzword, like, this would have been called "Smart Wash" five years ago.

It’s better than the alternative :)
Thank you for replying, I appreciate it! I’ll reach out when I get in trouble ;)
I probably missed it in the documentation, but how do I automate the browser with Bombadil? How do I get it to login to my app so I can test authenticated pages?
Edit: as others have said, I am having trouble figuring out how to make this work and understanding how to use it, more practical examples of that would be helpful. Looking forward to using this. Thank you!
Yes, I agree, but the old one is unusable on mobile, and visiting old.reddit.com forces me to keep using it until I logout and login again, which is also awful
That doesn’t work, but that’s not your fault! I think it’s setting some cookie or something, which makes this annoying to deal with. Anyway, thanks for the reply
Off-topic: After visiting a Reddit link via Hacker News on my phone, my Reddit layout is unusable. How do I get out of old Reddit and back to something usable?
Related: why does HN always link to old.reddit?
You’re absolutely right!
And power lines. I seem to recall reading that some of the health problems may have come from Agent Orange, which was used to clear the power corridor in the 50s

Or, say, a number one search provider ;)
That makes sense, given the description of how it works, but the article distinctly mentions getting this effect from gaming headphones so...
Anyway, I went and tried again with just my laptop (based on the person above effusing about it). Again, for me, I'm not hearing anything special, and nothing "3D" about the sounds, other than some left-right shifts. And I guess the music is in front of me, since that's where my laptop is ;)
I agree. The article mentions bits going around their head, or in the front-right. I hear things on the left, and things on the right. And stuff that appears on the opposite side of where the article mentions them. I’m listening on Spotify, maybe all that stuff is stripped out?
You mean “experimental submarine.”
oh, I love vim! I still hit esc anywhere between 5 and 7 times before typing :wq to save my work.
I feel like you're missing a few esc's and a colon in there...
Three books that have helped me:
- "Feeling Good" by David D. Burns
- "The Now Habit" by Neil Fiore
- "Getting Things Done" by David Allen
"Feeling Good" is about Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, and will teach you some practical ways to get yourself out of a bad mood (depression, anger, self-criticism, etc). Procrastination is a logical response to how you are feeling about some task, for example, you are feeling anxious about failing a test, so you play video games because it feels better to play video games than to feel anxious. This book will help you get past the anxiety, so you can focus on the studying. If you only read one of these books, I would recommend this one.
"The Now Habit" offers you some practical advice on how to beat procrastination and schedule your time so you don't feel like all you do is work, work, work.
"Getting Things Done" has a lot of practical advice about how to keep track of what you've got going on in your life so that you can get all your stuff done.
And yes, if you think you are depressed or have undiagnosed ADHD, go see a doctor and/or therapist.
Hope some of this helps.

The point is - how does Instagram know you should be re-invited if you are deleted? If you are really deleted, they shouldn't know you were ever a member.
At fat food joints
I don't know if that was intentional or not, but I like it! :)
My experience with BlueTooth devices has been sub-optimal. They never seem to connect "cleanly" and always involve some degree of turning the device off and on again, turning BT on the computer off and on again, trying both in a different order, trying to figure out the magical combination of buttons to press on the device to get it to try to "re-pair", etc. I have had this problem with multiple devices and multiple computers.
And then, yes, if it does connect, the quality is poor.
All I want to do is use the solution that simply and easily works for me and CONTINUES to work and isn't being replaced for what seems to be a money-making opportunity.
That's true, but I don't think the solution is to treat all humans like they're assholes.
I don't know, I feel like many people started using Chrome because technical-minded folk recommended it to them (certainly, I told many family members to switch to it). So, maybe the same thing will happen with Firefox (I have just switched from Chrome to Firefox and am prepared to recommend it as someone's default browser).
Here's the article on its own site: http://www.straightdope.com/columns/read/3330/how-did-anyone...
To the people who make stuff like this: how much time do you put into a page like this? I feel like (in my world) this would require an endless set of meetings, then design + revisions, then programming, and eventually someone would say "this is taking too much time / costing too much."
I'll give you 5 times out of 10. The other 5 is the designer's solution to trying to fit 10 different stakeholder's crap "above the fold."
There is a link in the email to "view this email as a web page" which redirects to a page on 8x8.com (the parent company of Zerigo), so I assume it's legit.
That's a good point - you can use these features browser-side if you can control the browser being used (like in a large company).
They can be:
"Are Canada Geese protected and can they be hunted?
Yes, Canada Geese are protected under the Migratory Birds Convention Act, 1994 (MBCA). This Act arose from an international treaty -- the Migratory Birds Convention -- between Canada and the United States, signed in 1916. The MBCA provides for the protection and conservation of migratory birds, and prohibits people from harming birds, except under specified conditions. Several species, including Canada geese, are considered game birds and may be hunted. The Act gives the federal government the responsibility to establish hunting seasons, and Canada Geese are greatly appreciated by migratory game bird hunters across the country. More than 500 000 Canada Geese are taken in Canada each year by hunters." [1]

That's an okay opinion, but I'd like to see CEOs criminally charged and go to jail if it's proven that they knew or should have known what was going on.
