At this point windows should be classified as a public utility and regulated as such. Microsoft has turned the most popular operating system on earth into an ad riddled and dysfunctional joke. Satya Nadella destroyed what would’ve been a stellar legacy as CEO of Microsoft by allowing all this crap to go on, chief among them is the war on local accounts.

No, Reddit is insufferable to use precisely because of this, try posting to any subreddit with a new account and your post gets removed because it’s too new or doesn’t have enough karma. Blanket moderation strategies like these make the UX horrible for new users and slows the platforms growth and reach.

I have the M3 iPad Air… I won’t have to replace it for at least 4 years because it’s stupidly powerful but both of its hands are tied because of iPad OS. Apple needs to get serious and make a version of MacOS for the iPad otherwise these upgrades are meaningless for most users.

I tried using my WolframAlpha in high school but I had no idea what I was doing and it felt way too complicated, but in college it is a game changer and I still use it to do school work. Totally agree!

I’ve been using a Mac for a about three years now, but every once in a while I use my old gaming laptop to play some games and every time I am reminded of how insufferable windows has become, using it feels I’m dumpster diving and the dumpster is asking me to sign into my Microsoft account. Apple gets a lot of shit for how they do things, but no one can deny that once you’re properly established in their ecosystem, it’s a phenomenal experience.

If they don’t even have the refining infrastructure built yet what do they have to offer the US ( or any other nation) that we can’t get from China? Rare Earth isn’t actually rare, what’s rare is the ability to refine it into pure elements.

I think the chat interface plays a huge role in this because LLMs are more than good enough to make you feel like you’re talking to another person, so coupling that with a user interface that was up until a few years ago pretty much exclusively used to talk to other people is a little problematic… it is essentially hijacking the emotional response of talking to a real person through texting.

Hey, thank you for linking the blogpost it was super interesting and aligns very well with my own theories/framework in regard to how we might be able to build a truly intelligent mind. I honestly wish I could be involved in this kind of research because I think I can have a positive impact on the field, I just lack the technical skills (for now) to conduct the research.

Anywho, I think JN Research is onto something with the Adaptrons/Primite and hope you guys are able to take it as far as it’ll go.
