Hire a designer - the UI and UX could use some work. Here's some of the design feedback I'd give you:

- You're not utilizing the whole width of the page, and the table looks pretty compressed, making it difficult to read.

- You're also not using the whole height of the page. The pagination would be more useful if there was more content. It's silly to waste that much real estate.

- The icons in the top right are too small and the third (mailing list) carries no meaning.

- Your logo in the navbar is too small, or at least the text. You probably don't need the text in the logo if you've got the heading there.

- Search is in a pretty unintuitive location - try putting it in the top right of the layout.

Edit: From a functional perspective, you've got duplicated stories on the home page currently. Same exact link, two different titles.

Just a guess, but I think they're more referring to WP's lack of depth in the UI - everything is flat.

It wasn't available on Windows, which many of us work on. Also, some work networks are more restrictive and block it.

Wire transfers often are not able to be undone once they happen (and are accepted by the other bank). This is the reason why there's so much verification that happens in wire transfers. (I helped develop 2nd factor authentication used for authenticating wire transfers for a financial company)

Credit card charges can be reversed.

Sweet! I wonder if there's a way to gauge public opinion on these links - one of the apps obviously has some awful reviews on iTunes (Vapor). It'd help keep people away from apps that are doing malicious things like stealing contacts and uploading them to their servers.

I miss the X-Wing/TIE Fighter series, especially the awesome X-Wing vs TIE Fighter game. I would have loved to see a modern remake of those games.

With most media like TV shows, you only watch it once - so watching it remotely from a home server is the same as your "one-time hit."

While my credit union also fails on this, I'm not a fan of drop-down menus for navigation. The gold standard for UX/UI as far as banking is concerned is Simple. https://simple.com/

Probably just for historical reasons. The size of the layout is small enough to fit on a 1024x768 display. When that was the primary resolution targeted by web developers, they tried to cram everything into the top left corner, as this does.

The site itself is a bit weird. Most of the content looks like it's loaded in via AJAX, and on a slower connection it's pretty jarring. Clicking on "See All" initially shows the "About Us" section of the page, which caused me to think I clicked the wrong link, and went back. It wasn't until I clicked it again that I noticed what was going on. At least throw some kind of AJAX spinner/placeholder or indicator that the page content is still loading.

Cool idea though.

Most stock photography companies require that models sign a release to prevent legal problems from arising due to the photo.

In this case, it presents a problem if you photograph someone and Instagram sells that photo without a release. Instagram or the third-party that buys the photo could be liable as a result.

I'm surprised that Instagram's lawyers didn't consider this.

Eh, not quite. Private accounts can't have their photos used outside of Instagram.
