something else that is outstanding about this device is the support. a couple of months ago my 2017 edition kept restarting occasionally while watching a movie so i got in touch with nvidia support, after a bit of back n forth they agreed to send me a brand new power adapter for free which arrived promptly and completely fixed the problem

featuring the worst analogy i have heard in my life
i will be exhibiting my indie game at the Tokyo Game Show in September, even though there will be huge elaborate booths for the massive/AAA studios, i can confirm that there will be a large area dedicated to indie games!
should have been a hit and wasn't
care to share a few of those on here?
I have been learning to draw for the past 2 months or so. I want to get into digital painting but I am still learning the fundamentals with a pencil + paper.
A few things that have helped me so far:
- Setting aside at least 1 hour a day to draw. This one is the most important.
- Drawing from the Right Side of the Brain by Betty Edwards
- Fun with a pencil by Andrew Loomis
- Ctrl+Paint: http://www.ctrlpaint.com/ especially the Traditional Drawing, Composition, Perspective and Anatomy sections.
- Sycra's YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL0373FA2B3CD4C899
quite far from basic mixing with 2 decks, turntablism requires similar skills to playing an instrument: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tr3ftsCVXhc
why not add a short version of this text to the website?
how will https://oldgeekjobs.com become a billion dollar company?
"Maybe you are familiar with those ticket booking systems where, at some point during the purchase flow, you have to choose a seat. This is usually done when selling tickets for games, movies, flights or concerts. Wouldn’t it be cool to have some kind of “realistic” preview of the seat, i.e. see the stage or screen from the perspective of the space you chose? Of course it would :) This is the kind of question that resulted into a new experiment which we’d like to share with you today."

i was confused by this too, i have never seen a 'google cloud platform user account id' before and i have been using app engine for years - so i just used the email address tied to my app engine account, seemed to work just fine
i have recently read 'the e myth' which i would definitely recommend especially for the business/finance/planning side of things

i have a 4k monitor at 28" and viewing/writing text/code at 1:1 scaling is perfectly fine!
i agree that a monitor with this resolution should not be scaled, the available real estate is exactly why i purchased it.
registered, hope to find out about some local tech meet-ups :))
he did the WDI course and has nothing but good things to say about it :))
no where near that figure, obviously can't give specifics but its not even approaching half of that salary
yes
i hired a guy who had been through a general assembly course in london, he had also had a couple short of internships before he got to us. hired as a junior javascript developer and he is doing very well
badly, i have hundreds of bookmarks, articles, documents that i haven't looked at since adding them - not quite sure what i'm waiting for but i spend a lot more time collecting them then actually reading them
I use the same monitor via Displayport 1.2 powered by a GTX780 running on Windows 8. 4k resolution at 60hz. No complaints at all, great for desktop space and great for games.
However my late 2011 Macbook Pro or 2013 Macbook Air will not power that monitor at all, at any resolution.
if you happen to know actionscript 3, you can also use adobe flash builder or flash develop - as adobe air can target android/ios devices just fine
is this a monthly event? i will not be able to attend this one but would love to attend the next.
