Does money buy happiness? I don't know, but it definitely buys time to pursue happiness more efficiently.

Money buys time. The more you are willing to spend to quickly solve some of life's problems, the more time you will have to do what matters to you, whether that be seeking happiness, money or knowledge.

Money also takes away distractions. I started using a wash and hold service in NYC. About once a week, on my way to work, I drop off my clothes, on the way home I pick them up washed and folded. Something so simple only saves me ~1 hour a week, but not having to think about and planning to allocate time is worth so much more.

I use Google play music, it's $8/month but I think it's worth it.

This is the most educating thing I have seen on HN in a while.

I went through the code for each, starting with the simplest and working my way up to the much more interesting and complex.

The only thing missing is a way to edit the JS and see the result. Looks like it's easy to use an embedded jsfiddle[0], but I have not tried it myself.

Slight bug, it treats param 3 as a map, so you can't put --render without the map.

You should also mention somewhere what no-standard libraries are needed (e.g. RestrictedPython). Maybe provide a requirements.txt

One sensor that I have not seen mentioned anywhere is GPS. The pair I tried a few weeks ago had GPS built in and it worked when glass was not connected to a phone or WiFi.

Budget VM has really good plans if you need disk space. A warning though, the support sucks. I used the 2GB plan for while, it has okay performance but for $10 bucks it was perfect for the analysis I had to do.

This is awesome! Great work. One must have for me is auto complete, I use LaTeXila and its hard to move away from auto complete. Spell checking would also be amazing, I have yet to find a good LaTeX IDE with spell check.

This actually seems like something that happen in the near future. I guess the biggest hurdle to get over first would be laws and regulations for self-driving cars, I'm sure if that were out of the way, within a year or two this would be possible.

After seeing this, I thought I would spin up a server with Joyent, just to give it a try. After 10 minutes, the server is still not marked as "provisioning," which seems like an excessive amount of time.
