We take tech literacy for granted, because it's like a dozen levels down fundamental to our entire field. But the tech illiterati exist, and they love apps.

LOL. Kindly do this prompt to any LLM : "critize this statement, or any logical fallacy inside"

Try applying the same level of skepticism to your own statements before posting them on HN.

Its also powerfull for data migration. you can do this:

create pgsql.table as (select * from mysql.table)

all data types automatically inferred. you dont have to define it manually.

bonus: latest version already support pager. proTips: use pspg.

Beautiful !

2026 prayer: for all you AI junkies—please don’t pollute H/N with your dirty AI gaming.

Don’t bot posts, comments, or upvote/downvote just to maximize karma. Please.

We can’t identify anymore who’s a bot and who’s human. I just want to hang out with real humans here.

All hail web based apps!

We really dont need playStore and appStore to run beautiful things like this.

Yes. I’m talking about the social majority. Dopamine has gone way too far, making everyone—kids, elders—drown in addictive scrolling.

We can’t control their addictiveness, but we can control what they consume.

Or just leave it as is? So the “focused society” ends up controlling the “unfocused” ones?

As I see it, the path to AGI is a three-horse race right now: OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google. Each of these organizations are going to take a different path to get there based upon their DNA (consumer vs business vs rock-solid-infra + data).

Grok be like. okey. :))

I also do this.

Still don’t know how to respond when i get fucked by LLM authoritarians (Grok, ChatGPT, etc.).

They don’t give the traffic back / incentives or even cite us as the source. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Not reading the news

I do this too. I’ve even managed to go years without opening the news. What I can’t deny, the news still sneaks in through WhatsApp/Telegram groups.

or caring about strangers opinions has done wonders for my psyche.

The final bos !. Jumping into these kinds of conversations just to prove you're smart—or look smart—is the ultimate time stealer. The dopamine hits hard.

Yes, i proved i'm smarter than my average friends. friends also happy to get good insights from me.

The ironic part? times fades away while the quality of my work takes a nosedive.

Dumbest tradeoff i've learned the hard way.

Be exceptionally skilled in areas that can’t yet be automated.

Focus on soft skills: communication, problem-solving, social intelligence, collaboration, connecting ideas, and other "less technical" abilities. Kind of management and interpersonal stuff that machines can’t replicate (yet).

It's real. Subscribing LLM provider for $20/month feels like better deal than hiring average-skilled software engineer.

It's even funnier when we realize that people we hire are just going to end up prompting the LLM anyway. So, why bother hiring?

We really need next-level skills. Beyond what LLM can handle.

Pi Chess Board 2 years ago

I love the board has no led when X the opponent. You can add LLMs as your opponent. So you can play with your dead grandpa, hitler, aristoteles while talking about everything. I'll buy or made one ! :D
