I think you are too self-centered as of now. You need to de-focus.

To do that, the best advice I can give you is Travel (obviously once the corona thing is taken care of). Travel a lot and do travel on shoestring budget. This gives you the opportunity to meet new people, new geographies and help you cultivate new ideas and slowly form a picture of your life on your own.

This also helps you in start to focus on others instead of your own self at all times.

Focus the conversations around your experience being an EM in your current role. Do NOT expect that you should know (or should have experienced) certain things because you are a manager in your current role...just accept candidly what you have experienced and what you haven't.

Management is all about experience.

1) Why do you have to give this on a daily basis? Assuming everyone in your team is dedicated and responsible, then why.

2) asking for help and advice should not wait for the next standup. If someone is stuck, they should reach out for help right away than waiting for next standup.

We have already had a hard time selecting a email username (the part which comes before @). Now if you ask me to choose another username, I am going to be wanting the same email username because I do not want to remember another name. Its more difficult than remembering passwords. If your service becomes extremely popular then I will not get a proper username available (if I am one of the late to party guys).

So avoid usernames at all cost. Email is longer, but more often, who needs to enter it again and again, we anyways store it in stored passwords on chrome etc.

Its free. Its not even a product, more like a personal project. I haven't put any screenshots as its still in development and would love to get your thoughts.

I want to build an extremely simple project management tool without extra bells and whistles. Something which may be suited for a specific size of team, or specific type of execution.

I personally think that its a good tool for very small teams...like 3-5 where current tasks and backlog tasks list are more important. Not even attributing tasks to people, because in a very small team, everyone pretty much knows what another teammate is working on.

Actually thats the idea behind it. So, I am planning to support all these functionalities which you mentioned. In fact these features will be off by default. You can enable it on need basis per project. But this is still in development.

I agree. I thought of tags but still went with priority because an open ended priority serves two purposes: high level ordering as well as low level ordering.

What I mean is that you can separate out very different tasks by giving them far apart priorities and order and group sub-tasks/related-tasks by giving them priorities closer by. Let me know what you think.

I agree. Trello is closest to what I needed. I do not have a strong reason to not use Trello. I come from a background of using excel sheets for this task and needed something in flatter structure. Trello seems more visual than I need it to be.

I agree. There is no significant value in Notes application alone but what I am trying to generate value in the Hmpgr platform (pronounced as homepager). I have another app called Blog which I am still developing. I know adoption of these apps are difficult but I do not wish to make them even more difficult by using obscure thing like Textile.

But since you are patiently answering me, can I request you to please go through Hmpgr platform and tell me if you see any value in it.
