Perhaps tangential, but is there any way to be certain whether the webcam light can be controlled by software?

I often wonder if my MBP camera is necessarily off just because the ominous little green light isn't shining.

I've heard a teddybear works pretty well in a pinch.

For me, the epiphany usually hits when I finally break down and decide to ask for help. I realize my cognitive blind spot while composing a message for a forum post or email.

It's always good to step back and acquire a fresh perspective.

Nice idea, but for good results the leap API would need to be integrated into the application.

Now blender, on the other hand, is ripe for experimentation.

Is this useful for someone with no knowledge of functional programming languages? I'm certainly interested in the topic.

I recently spent some time learning [ChucK](http://chuck.cs.princeton.edu), and used it to generate sound effects for my game. After several unsatisfactory crops with audacity and other tools (bfxr, etc), I found it to be a real pleasure to do the task with a text editor and terminal instead. I'm happy with the result, but I think I'd like to continue learning audio programming.

I've recently taken to draping the strips over the rungs of the oven rack, and letting them drip into a foil-lined sheet pan.

I can't think of a better way. I strongly prefer to let the fat drip off.

Why would you package this up for convenient deployment? Don't be a jackass. Take it down.
