thanks ill check it out. i switch between void and artix already so this is a pretty cool idea. i usually advise new people to use mint but i feel guilty moving them from microsoft windows to microsoft systemd. maybe this will develop into a better option.

nobody really thinks its about the children, the epstein class people pushing this total control mechanism definitely do not have the best interest of kids in mind.

soy, cortisol, plastics, birth control remnants in the water and food supply, adipose tissue accelerating conversion of testosterone into estradiol, and compounds acting to keep free testosterone levels low and bound testosterone levels high. combine that with sedentary lifestyle, the demonization of red meat healthy fats and cholesterols (cholesterol is extremely close to testosterone and converts easily) and the systematic promotion of a plant based heavily processed diet can easily lead to this. the traditional diets of slaves and serfs was low meat & high grain to keep them weaker dumber and shorter in general. the lowered testosterone and will to fight and resist oppression was also a "feature, not a bug" as my llm likes to say every chance it gets.

the industrial revolution has been a disaster for the human race.

gasoline trucks are inferior work vehicles and under heavier work loads gasoline is far less efficient. as for electric trucks, those are worthless. its easy to tell you have no knowledge of the kind of tasks these devices are used for if you think rural people can effectively use an electric vehicle that is impossible to fix yourself.

compared to the chinese models those are all garbage. its almost as if there is a minimum effort being made just to later say "see, we werent always for the closed models, its just that the open stuff was so far behind". or maybe they think that an environment full of terrible models will push everyone harder into the closed stuff.

at some point the amount of money dumped into it will either result in a total monopoly with everything local banned or an economic collapse

the author lost me at "muh immigrants". stopped reading. its like the only people who agree with me on resisting evil tech companies and surveillance ai are open borders fanatics who refuse to accept that regulating who is able to access your home is something that people have always done. go on and "resist" big tech for the poor immigrants sake while big tech and every other corporation goes out of its way to replace you with cheaper labor in the form of illegal migrants, scammy visa guest workers, foreign labor, etc.

democracy demands that a drooling idiot gets to have equal say as any genius with his vote. since there are far more drooling idiots than geniuses we can easily see why democracy has typically been so dystopian, and only seems to get worse over time.

maybe you should educate us as to why democracy like this belongs in professional settings where efficiency and correctness determine outcome and profit/ job security.

the author is 100% correct. this is why i find it pointless to debate politics and social issues with most people. far too often people are not arguing for an idea, they are arguing to defend something that has become their identity and it is fused with their ego.

well you can pick between the party that wants higher taxes, or the party that wants lower taxes for the rich. you can vote for the party that wants closed borders because people vote for them on that issue but who always do whatever their their corporate lobbyists want (protip: they want to pay lower wages), or you can vote for the party that openly hates white people and thinks they dont vote correctly so they should be replaced with foreigners who vote as directed.

you can vote for the party that complains housing is getting more expensive while the states they run is full of the most expensive housing on average, or you can vote for the party who thinks deregulating everything is economically smart, but wont pass cost savings on to the buyer so the investment companies who only build communal housing and mcmansions see any benefit from it while your expensive shack falls apart in a decade or so.

but at least historically both parties agree that censorship is good, encryption should be kept from the plebs, and israel should get whatever it wants with a minimum of performative resistance sometimes.

or rather this: which party thinks that the rush to build ai data centers which are meant to create a chinese style ai surveillance state should be stopped on the premise that americans are survelied enough already and manipulated enough online as it is? there isnt one? if these parties were truly enemies they wouldnt consolidate more governmental power because obviously this power will fall into their enemies hands if there is a party switch in the federal government.

they slowly decay and the immune system removes the remains. it can cause a toxicity shock called the herxheimer effect, the body often has symptoms when removing decaying foreign matter and the stored toxins they release. often parasite decomposition results in a sudden release of heavy metals and other things which accumulate in parasites. people try to use binding agents to aid in detoxing during this time to minimize fever and joint swelling and other signs of severe inflammation.

maybe in our lives people will start to realize there is really only one political party and its always going to be them vs us until we are all serfs earning below subsistence wages.

its worth noting that you were much less restricted with this 6k computer in 1996. today we are paying ever more for walled gardens that will eventually become nothing more than a portal to cloud services. we are not returning to a previous position, we are moving to a world where everything will be a thin client.

you can use a tool while still hating the villains in openai, anthropic, nvidia, and so on who are ruining our lives and hobbies.

i agree with his statement that the big companies and the string pullers in government are inching toward banning open models.allowing the plebs unrestricted access to things seems against the wishes of the "you will own nothing and be happy" / "you will rent everything on the cloud and subscribe to your appliances" crowd such as blackrock and so on.

anyone who disagrees is not seeing the forest, only the trees.
