Yes, I had no idea that was possible! I have had a total of 5 silent migraines (aura but no headache) in my life, and each time was terrifying.

I really feel this. I've been working remotely for a few years, and will probably continue doing so for the foreseeable future, but there is no such thing as informal conversation in that setting.

I am a big fan of the organization Braver Angels, which is working to reduce polarization and facilitate conversations between people with different viewpoints.

One of their biggest struggles is that they get significant participation from the "blue" tribe, but have trouble recruiting "red" tribe members. Some of this may be skepticism from the red tribe that they will be treated fairly, but I wonder how much is simply lack of interest in understanding others.

I am not by any means a "covid-denier," but it seems to me this is evidence that the impact of Covid may be exaggerated. It's hard to say by how much (and I would be interested to learn if this is happening in US hospitals also).

What I didn't understand when I bought was that property taxes actually will make your mortgage payments go up. Mine went up about 1.5% after one year. I'm very curious what it will be this year, as property values have gone way up.

I hear you on this. I loved the Ramona books when I was a kid, but I also got so frustrated with Ramona because she acted so irrationally. My favorite was "Beezus and Ramona" because it was told from Beezus' point of view and I identified with her much better. I think maybe some kids are just Ramonas and some are Beezuses.

I got the chance to see him in action from being on the show, and he was probably the most impressive "people person" I've ever met. Just perfectly at ease telling stories and interacting with strangers, and he sets everybody else at ease also. I don't know how a person ends up like that, whether its a matter of innate talent, training, or a mix of the two, but I've never seen anything like it.

I think the biggest issue is that you need to live near your office. This usually means you have to spend a lot more on housing than you would otherwise. This is why I went remote - we couldn't afford any houses near my workplace.

It's so true though! My husband and I have compromised so that we are both dissatisfied with our bedroom temperature.
