If first attempt to refactor was over-engineered. They same will happen with the the new stack. New tools won't resolve problems. Start deleting the code.

in emacs org-mode you can archive some tasks, text - it will move it to another text file ex. archive.txt with the timestamp or archiving it. Beside this keep your file in git. so you delete text & make explicit commit message that something was removed.

I'm making a community annotated music video database tagged by subject matter. In ex. music videos with chess https://culturevein.com/tags/chess , video games https://culturevein.com/tags/video-game etc. There are over 600 tags https://culturevein.com/tags . It's open source.

You can list all music videos with chess, basketball, sony playstation, woman beat man, food fight etc. And play scene with selected tag. It's free software - repo is on github. You don't have to register to add new tags & music videos. What do you think about it ?
