IIRC There was a Jim Keller interview a few years ago where he said basically the same thing (I think it was from right around when he joined Tenstorrent?). The ISA itself doesn't matter, it's just instructions. The way the chip interprets those instructions is what makes the difference. ARM was designed from the beginning for low powered devices whereas x86 wasn't. If x86 is gonna compete with ARM (and RISC-V) then the chips are gonna need to also be optimized for low powered devices, but that can break decades of compatibility with older software.

Is there even a way to know at this point?

The dev actually went on Twitter[1] to say this currently breaks the extension and they disabled submissions from users with embedded ads enabled

Yup! In fact Meta’s implementation is open sourced as Sapling SCM and includes both Mercurial and Git support[1]. Internally the main repository use Mercurial although I believe a few legacy projects still use git.

For people who don't like the new look, you can go to preferences->Appearance and select 'Vector (Legacy)'. It does require you to login first which is annoying but at least you can easily go back to the old look.

I hope that this will be used in the future as an example of why MBAs don't always make good CEOs. You may be the best person in the world when it comes to managing a company, but if you're not knowledgeable and passionate about the product you're making and/or selling then you're going to not do very well. Off the top of my head I can think of 2 more examples: Apple before and after Steve Jobs returned and AMD before and after Lisa Su was appointed CEO.

Hinge is owned by Match Group. Along with also owning Match.com they also own Tinder, OkCupid, PlentyOfFish, Black People Meet, Our Time, and about 20 more services. Honestly, I'm in the same boat as you, until I realized I don't know anything he's done before he became head of Radeon Group. According to his Wikipedia entry:

So he has a history of launching some really good products but I'd say it's been at least a decade since he's been involved in anything industry leading.

The bill (which you can read here, it's super short: https://www.congress.gov/bill/117th-congress/senate-bill/623...) adjusts EST/CST/MST/PST etc to be +01:00. If you dig into the bill it's referencing, it defines US timezones based on UTC so this is just adjusting the time +1 hour based on that original bill.

Neither Tencent nor Sony are based in the US (although Sony does have a US subsidiary)

Sony Interactive Entertainment actually relocated to California a few years ago and literally everything PlayStation is under them so I'd probably call them a US company at this point.
