Especially since one of the books he mentions, Steven Pinker's How the Mind Works, has a 3.97 - which just barely misses the criteria, and yet has a big fat red X. He gave rated it 2 stars, so this seems to be confirmation bias more than anything.

Sure you can -- install an adblocker or one of the other extensions that allows you to block FB tracking. I agree that that only protects those tech-savvy enough to know how FB is tracking you and what to do about it, but there are steps we can take while fighting against corporate mass surveillance.

You can't get me to enable ads unless I'm assured they are not delivering malware. If you can't do that, count me out.

Couldn't CloudFlare track a Tor user by tracking the tokens it gave to a particular user, then track them when their client used one of those tokens to validate?

It reminds me a bit too of The Institute (I watched the documentary on Netflix: http://www.theinstitutemovie.com/). I'd really like to play a game like The Institute, but this seems a little darker, or at least the name kind of implies that.
