This largly depends on the location you are referring to. In many german places / cities, OSM data is often more accurate than Google Maps, even for commercial infos like opening hours. In the end it is up to people to ensure data is up-to-date. Apps like StreetComplete can help with that. Organic Maps also allows for some editing.

Hate on OpenPGP all you want, it still is an important technology with unrealized potential and growth.

Outstanding work. There is some finetuning needed and the ecosystem needs to catch up - looking at you Firefox and KeePassDX, probably more. But this really is a milestone. So glad KeePassXC exists and allowed me to transition over from 1Password.

1Password overdid it a while ago for me and I switched to KeePassXC. It is certainly not as polished as 1Password but the developer team is very responsive and since I started using it, especially on macOS, things have improved a lot already. It is a pleasure to watch things evolve and Passkey support is the next big thing that will be added. Compared to Keychain Access, KeePassXC works cross platform and I need that, since my devices are cross platform. Also helps to avoid vendor lock-in.

"iOS struggles with XMPP" Is that so? Monal just received the 5.1.0 update and Siskin is also under active development. Then there is Snikket based on Siskin. Compared to 2017 this is quite the vivid XMPP landscape and development on all three apps is ongoing and the people behind the apps seem capable. You can use a bridge to even use IRC in your XMPP client. Editing txt files in NextCloud and having this by in sync on your other computers is great. Sure, iOS lags in both regards but it is not Apples priority to offer such solutions. They want to shove iCloud down the users throat. Just wanted to mention the existing and viable solutions.

Why? Fujitsu finally came to their senses and their latest ScanSnap software supports S1500 on current macOS (and windows?).

LO needs more general QA testing and more dev time invested towards macOS the neglected OS. All this needs to be financed and things are not so easy finding solutions for this decade old problem.

What do you mean by "it ignores much css"? I am using tree style tab add-on and it shows fine for me.

Longtime Firefox user here. Oddly I have no problem with Tabs on top (I prefer that UI design), low contrast between tabs (there are favicons and text which clearly indicate the tabs, I am not lacking anything to make out where a tab is), removing XUL (only using few add-ons and those transitioned), performance (is fine for me on a macbook pro). Sometimes it feels to me as if there is a trend to bash on weaker projects like fediverse, encryption projects, open source browsers, ...

For me the main argument to use Firefox is not living in the Google universe which is quite a huge value in itself and the fact that it is open source.

Oh and they finally added proper dark mode on macOS and did quite some work for Firefox to look and feel more at home on macOS in the last versions. This is really nice to see and appreciated.

Give it a try. You will find there is a lot to discover and close connection to the music. Then try looking at the booklet of an album. Pro level: read the liner notes.

It will be amazing how much information there is and to learn about the thought process of the artist while creating the album.

Called the german ministry of environment. They weren't even aware, these LEDs exist. One good option would be to move this into legislation. This would be a great addition to the "Ökodesign-Richtlinie" (https://www.umweltbundesamt.de/themen/wirtschaft-konsum/prod...) regulating product design for better sustainability and repairability.
