Just make sure to release it on Windows, There are more installed copies of Win 10 amd Win 11 than all iOS, MacOS, OSx systems combined

This looks like a great replacement for electron
This is awesome. Love seeing projects like this.
Great job, these are the apps we need to see. Native Windows apps.
The biggest issue in my opinion is that Microsoft is chasing web devs. XAML is pita, just like css and html markup. They need to pick a lane and just use it. Allow other frameworks access to the default low level api such as Win32, but document it to the same level as Google does on Android and Apple with SwiftUI
It's that Nadella doesn't really care about Windows, even though the kernel is the root of Azure. In addition, all the newer gui frameworks abandoned RAD interface. That is what made and still does make Winforms and WPF popular.
It's a Windows container. It runs the NT kernel and a few minimal other things. The closest would be the Nano Server container
But what about Hydrogen? Many ICE companies would be better to focus on that. It would allow legacy vehicles to stay on the road, and fix the range anxiety in places like the US which is way bigger than all of the EU and bigger than the populated parts of China.
At this point Microsoft needs to go back to service packs and a three year OS version cycle. Rapid development doesn't seem to be working.
Also, to add the current CEO doesn't care about the OS. All he cares about is the stock price, and his AI mistake.
This is great, and I love that this is not another webapp
This would be a great tool if it was a local tool that could run in a tui or as a desktop app ala devtoys on Windows
If Microsoft could get their heads out of their rears, they could potentially get back to a better OS for gaming. The hybrid kernel Dave Cutler designed is in many ways still better than the Linux kernel. It's the userland that is the issue with Windows 11. Look just by enabling true nvme support you close the gap between Linux and Windows performance wise.
Enterprise and ltsc have none of the nagware or tracking. Ai is still there though
This would be awesome as a cross platform app.
Then why is Google killing the ChromeOS/Chromebook? Also Windows is increasing in its share again. Maybe that is due to companies that want AI in there systems.
Thank the web for that. We have lost more control of our devices and our privacy; the more we depend on the web and SaaS. We need to get back to writing native software, be it for Linux, FreeBSD, MacOS, or Windows. We need to make the local device the priority.
If you have pro or enterprise you can still setup a local account. It is home edition that is the issue
I would be amazing if you released this as a Windows app. I would love to use it on my surface which sits in the kitchen.
There is no C# support, they need to fix this.
Funny a the stats he points to show a smaller number of devices being recorded each time. So of course the percentage would go up. There are still more Windows devices in active use compared to all MacOS/iOS devices.
Microsoft dropped the Hololens and it was in this price range with a much better product. So I have a feeling this will be a google glass type item
Couldn't the government appeal the punishment? Saying the judge was biased or that the punishment does not fit the crime
Isn't this similar to WSL-G on Windows to run Linux graphic apps.
We as tech enthusiasts killed a viable 3rd option. For all its warts Microsoft created a great mobile os, but we killed it. If we could convince them to bring it back to be the true alternative to the existing duopoly in might fix these issues.
Now make this build desktop apps. We don't need more web or mobile apps
Windows Server 2025 supports dtrace out of the box: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/administrat...
With more and more things like this, we need to back to making native apps on desktops and laptops where we as the users are in control.
This is just more justification to bring software back onprem and kill SaaS.
Look at Android. It is more of a leaky sive than Windows now.
