I've used the DITA-XML Learning and Training specialization to write technical training documentation and I loved it. So much flexibility in generating document outputs and customizable standardisation.

Choosing the right information model for your company/group is not an easy task, but it's not the main hurdle. The major problem we had adopting DITA was having managers understand the added value of taking the time to train people to understand and write structured documentation.

I'm in a new job in a bigger org and I'm trying to show them the benefits, but that boat is really hard to steer. People REALLY like the WYSIWYG freeform documents.

Very nice effort.

My favorite part is the MS word grammar correct red squiggly lines.

Your comment is a bit bigoted, the government has been paying families, not "french families", to have more kids. This isn't segregated by language at all. Everyone gets their child allowance payments, whatever their origin.

I am a tech writer and I write tasks and procedures using DITA-XML. I was thinking about transforming my .dita files to .mlt to use in shortcut/melt, but I think I'm going to use this instead.

I just travelled with my SO and another couple. Everyone on their phone, all the time. Posting to IG, looking up the "best" restaurants and attractions. It seems they can't see value in wandering and discovery. Not my kind of traveling...
