Yes. I got the same issue… and when someone replies, all users in the mailing list receive it… that’s why I would see a ton of replies saying please remove me from your mailing list. Very annoying. The only solution I found was to create an inbox rule to reject those, as I couldn’t unsubscribe
With Tahoe, I've been occasionally having this glitch that when I click on a icon, it doesn't bring back the window that's open... even after multiple clicks.
There is the sketch app , which is older and more of a direct competitor to Figma. Figma won because of being web based/ multi platform among other advantages.

Very interesting. I had thought of going that route when thinking of compiling a songbook, but wondered if simply going with LaTeX, would be better. Anyway, my project never materialized. Last November I did an impulse buy for a Breville coffee machine on a site. It was one of those "countdown" super sales. One hour later after the purchase I contacted the seller and he refunded me the paypal... fortunately. But the site definitely looked scammy. I notified Paypal and Shopify. It's so easy nowadays to create nice looking sites in a platform like Shopify that will give a veneer of legitimacy. Anyway, that scammy site is gone. I wonder how many fell for this one. I should have checked how soon the site was taken down.

Agreed. I got enthused about the Power Platform, with Power BI and Power Apps, mostly. With Power BI, you get a mix of Power Query M the DAX formula language, and then comes the power automate (flow) and power apps where you use this formula language that's still different. Too much to learn. I'm not even sure if the power automate formula language is the same as the one used in power apps. Confusing.
I gave it a try and used a simple Excel file (with tables) to create a PowerApp. Customization wasn't too painful. However when more than one person needed to use it, it was locked because the Excel data source could not be accessed by more than one user at the same time :-(. I should have used Sharepoint lists instead. So, the simple thing of working with familiar apps like Excel and creating a form entry on top of it was disappointing.
True. Years ago, some FoxPro developers tried to translate their experience in building apps with FoxPro to python. Check the Dabo project. It appears to be dead, though. https://github.com/dabodev/dabo
I remember years ago a Python project called Dabo, which was inspired by the FoxPro architecture or approach of building software. I could create desktop and web apps from the same code base, if I recall. Code still available on Github. https://github.com/dabodev/dabo

Hi, long time reader but never posted before. When I started working with computers in my first job in 96, I discovered QBasic. Then by just following a sample program on how to play music notes, I was able to make the PC play a custom song. What an exciting discovery! Too bad the program could only play beeps and didn't support polyphony. Then I think this was my first "hack" into programming: I created a version of the Christmas Carol "Joy to the World" that sounded like 4-part harmony by simply making the duration of each note comprising a chord to the be very very short, and then between notes (chords) I added a rest (silence) so I could distinguish each separate note from the melody. It sounded like arpeggios. Fun experience, but too time consuming.
