Is that US price with or without any insurance? Most countries negotiate a lower price with the drug companies the same way insurance companies do. I don’t see how Canadians negotiating a lower group price is worse then Americans paying someone to do that.

A mac mini plus egpu would cost less then and iMac and have roughly similar performance. And if you go with VII, or a couple VIIs would get you better performance then a specced out iMac Pro for half the money. It would requires dongele-ing things off the machine but it gets you what you want.

Edit: Apple should offer a more elegent solution, but long term this is probably where most of the market is going. Most people don’t need as big a machine any more, and egpus offer 85% of the performance. I expect we’ll end up with people increasingly buying cpu units,gpu units, hard drive units.

There will always be sociopaths.

Many humans get killed every year in driving accidents. Every year humans continue to drive. Didn’t they remember what happened? Didn’t they communicate it to other humans? Don’t they care?

Mostly people seem to be sceptical of things they already don’t believe. If someone repeats something you believe, how much research are you going to do. So photoshopped images that reinforce your beliefs slip by, and the one that challenge you, you catch. Or worse, the ones that challenge you get labeled as photoshopped regardless of their provenance.

I think this thing is completing against stuff like the 10 bit 4k Eizos which are also pretty expensive to use for anything other the highend graphics. They probably should have a none hdr model for half the price though.

Look at Netflix. There’s no way to tell where any particular show fits without looking into it. Netflix needs some kind of sub branding to slit out the different niches of shows. I believe it’s actually the smaller malls and malls near smaller towns that are dying from oversupply. The giant warehouse style stripmalls have hurt the small malls in the exurbs. Big malls in big cities seem to still be expanding.

And the campaign did try to benefit from the Russian influence campaign, and did try to obtain the stolen emails. They wanted Russias help. But there was no evidence of direct coordination (remember the deleted evidence).

This doesn’t seem like much of an ‘exoneration.’

But that isn’t the only problem. The part of the screen behind the hinge is exposed. It’s easy for junk to get between the screen and hinge. Then, when opening and closing the dirt presses against the screen and damages it. Once damaged the screen seems to quickly fail.

I don’t see anyone else in this thread arguing that we should abandon technology and go back to nature. That seems to be an argument you’re having with yourself.

Yeah, this seems like a design mistake. People stick their phones in their pockets and bags. Over time a lot of dirt and dust is going to get under that top film. If peeling/removing that film causes the screen to die, I assume garbage gettng under it won’t be good either.
