Also from their official website: 20 quadrillion per week in settled trades. Too lazy to look up the equities numbers, but I would bet everything I own it's lower.

Derivatives are governed by the CFTC not the SEC.

Why not? It is highly litigated and still abundantly unclear whether certain cryptocurrencies are securities or commodities. That's the whole point of these legal battles. If it was clear, they would not be ongoing.

The vast majority of arbitrage of fungible assets happens in commodities, not securities. The SEC regulates securities. The CFTC regulates commodities.

That's theatrics. Everyone on Wall Street and Main Street knows the true cost of living — housing, gas, and grocery prices — has increased dramatically more than any Fed-anointed number with the word "inflation" near it.

Inflation far outpaces whatever "fat interest" rates you have on your savings. You need to hold real assets, not fiat currency.

I can back this up. I regularly go car camping in the middle of nowhere in the Rockies. Absolutely no service for miles.

I hadn't gone camping for ~4-5 weeks, but still drove my car every day. Suddenly had the battery issue, pulled the plug, and the issue is gone.

I don't really know how to debug this. Something recently changed, but I don't know what. You'd think my battery would've died during all the time that I was out of service.

There are huge swaths of areas with no service in the US that people regularly visit.

Yeah this was actually pretty scary for me because I do go car camping in very remote places with no service at all. Luckily I'm fully prepared for my car not being able to start.

It's just sad because I bought a Subaru because it's supposed to be a reliable, outdoor adventure car. To see it fail this way is just sad.
