Really appreciate the authenticity of the site design in the age of AI but damn! It is hurting my eyes!

Back to Kagi 9 hours ago

I was recently looking at the search engine referrers for my personal website. Was a bit surprised to see Kagi at the top of the list. Don't know how!

I see no issues in articles where AI was in the loop or made the article better than it otherwise would have been. Why not?

But if 100% is generated by AI - and you just prompted it - then I would like to avoid that piece. Personally.

I was a bit surprised by the way the payment is being made here.

Do people pay it separately like this? In general, if it isn't a prepaid restaurant, then just one of us makes the whole payment, and we pay our share to that person.

Don't people follow that generally?

Personally, I write to think out loud. And I am not looking to monetize my writing anytime soon. So, I am quite happy with Substack at this moment. I don't have to pay for any hosting or sending the newsletter, and my awesome 90ish subscribers get them!

But if you are a serious professional writer, then there are other better options. For sure. And as someone suggested, owning and hosting your content is absolutely the best way to go!

Your AirPods just connected to the wrong device. Again.

iMessage is taking twenty minutes to sync a message between your laptop and your phone sitting six inches apart.

Have these ever happened to someone? I have been using an iPhone for 2 years but have never experienced this.

Build something useful. Solve a real problem.

This is the essence of how we should think about building products (or, at the very least, doing some projects). I see so many of my juniors are building "useless" stuff just to participate in the AI hype. Whereas simple and elegant solutions are often neglected.

In a similar boat right now. The org is good. So is the culture. The manager is also good. But the work....! Neither learning something nor finding any alignment. Really confused.
