It is very high time for a successor on sql that solves sql problems. Verbosity, local functions, reversed order table/field select, reusability and other big problems should be solved by sql itself. A newer better version, perhaps compiling to backward compatible sql.

I live next to the biggest greenhouse area in the world. Since the pandemic in March last year, I exclusively eat lunches of about 600grams with around 20 types of veggies. It feels amazing after doing so, I never have an after-lunch dip any more. Some performance sports I do got 5-10% directly measurable improvements (cycling and bouldering) after switching to these lunches. Not completely sure it is the cause, but all signs direct to it.

I simply cut these veggies in small and balance the salad out on sweet, sour, salty and calories. After a few months of doing this I started to crave these salads.

Most of the veggies come from the greenhouse area, but not all. You can tell most of them, since they are quite clean already and do not have any dirt/soil on it.

Taste of these veggies is mostly different, not necessarily bad, although I would not describe it typically as being richer in taste. Redish is less sharp, carrots are much more crispy and less fibery, letuces are much fresher (they come with clod, so dont degrade a bit, even after two weeks in the refrigerator), tomatos are more watery but also much, much more varied (small, ultra sweet super juicy ones; bigger fleshy with delicious sour pits; characterfull flavory ones; many more), chickory which is sweeter, bell pepper which are more varied and edible as fruits, sweeter, juicier, cucumbers as small, medium and large where the small ones are really tender, many herbs such as mint, coriander, sellery, rosemary, parsley come as plants which I consume over about two weeks.

Interesting that you as a Dutchman did not model Tussenvoegsel, which is unique to Anglosaksian names and in particular Dutch, Belgian and German names. Handling of them is unique within these cultures. It should also not be confused with infix.

That multiple usages of the same concrete types requires changes on multiple places. For small programs, the di container itself can probably be skipped (i.e. instantiate an object graph by newing up). For larger programs, this is too cumbersome and therefore error-inducing.

We can still decide to start to use ascii 34, 35, 36 and 37. Sure, we'll need to deal with tsv and csv backward compat. But at least we won't have any escaping problems and can do very simple parsing.

In all endeavours where pixel-perfectness was pursued, it ended in tears for everyone involved. UXers because they could not get what they want and if they got what they envisioned, it still was not what they want as they learned about subpixel-perfectness. For programmers as it was chasing a unicorn. For the business because it is an expensive exercise gaining limited value.

Every time I see pixel-perfectness claimed I immediately approach it with a lot of caution.

I want a 64-core 51GB box with this to use wih my teams. Anyones IDE will fly using that power available. Costs could be lower too (although I doubt setup and maintenance offsets the decreased hardware cost).

A language is a tool. Is special-casing the U u to prevent a single case of profanity worth it?

People will come up with many ways to generate profane language. See guids/uuids for example, or l33tsp34k. A major change to hypothetically prevent a single case seems unbalanced.
