use bottles.org to run windows apps on Linux. All games run on Linux with it.
Is this year of the Linux yet?
Just installed Lineage OS 23 (androind 16) on my Motorola g84. Works like a charm. Banking apps work. Do I need to say fuck google? Like it's not obvious?
"microservices" is not an architectural question. It's a "recommended practices" question.
Whoes uncle is he anyways?
In corporations, sure, nobody is concerned about the end goal. That is by design.
Design by managers who simplistify everything into a manufacturing process in their "factory"
Those same simplistifiers managers would love "facilitators" who are now concerned with a function of shipping in their "factory".
alas
"Markets" are rational as betting is rational.
My first 486DX PC had a "turbo" button. You press it - and it wasn't just a teletype anymore.
Kent said some things, drew some kumbaja diagrams...
The efficient version of Node is called Deno. Bun is copying Deno.
bun is coppying what Deno already did, and then hipes it, without mentioning Deno.
The more he talks about fun, the more seriously he should be taken
I wonder does Gerald Sussman do TDD :D:D (for TDD'ers: the tone of this comment is ironic)
Bun is run by a little prince
This should have been a tweet. Buy his consulting services.
SOLID, TDD, etc is a noise from simpleton uncle. I tried hard to see if he has anything of value to say. He doesn't really. That doesn't stop him from selling simplistic slogans to get attention.
On interviewers who are asking about "recommended practices", SOLID, etc...:
Had an interview while back with a hiring manager for "Agile Coach" position. - He couldn't answer basic questions about what goal he wants to achieve. That was a weird question for him. - He was grilling me on SAFE processes.
This is a "normal" case.
"Writing has been called the process by which you find out you don’t know what you are talking about.
Actually doing stuff, meanwhile, is the process by which you find out you also did not know what you were writing about."

"End-to-End Argument in System Design" - Classic. Basically means: nerds, stop playing with yourselves and think about users/clients of your system.
This is a great simplistic scheme to sell to a typical corporate go-getter simplistifier manager. https://bitslap.it/blog/posts/playground-it.html
Turns out not everybody was sold-out at OpenAI. Good riddance, that Altman weasel was just that, a sellout.
In other words: write small reusable functions. And an orchestrator "script" function to glue them all together. The orchesrator has all the "ifs" what is domain/application specific.
did you also get a popup suggesting you login with google just after this article loaded?
this examines corporate characters: https://bitslap.it/blog/posts/playground-it.html
Corporations are not hiring devs... Devs have plenty of time... Devs fuck corps by redoing things right... The shortsightedness of suits is as always staggering.

So the fault is with zombie Marl? As any zombie marketer would say: "we are just giving them what they want". Something fundamentally is amiss in this posts reasoning.
Truly, we are made in the image of god.
