Fonts disappearing is not a big issue that will ultimately render your page useless. If the font is gone, the look of the page is slightly affected, but the content of the page remains. It's honestly not a big deal at all.

The important part is the "...regardless of their qualifications". There is nothing wrong with hiring friends, or family as long as the person is qualified. OP didn't mention anything about qualifications, so I think it's a bit early to jump the gun and proclaim Nepotism.

Just off the top of my head:

* 3-4 clicks and I have an Uber on its way vs. Having to talk to a dispatcher. Time saved.

* I know ahead of time how much the fair will be vs. at the end of the ride.

* I simply get out of the car once I reach my destination. I don't have to deal with paying, calculating tip, etc...

* Uber cars tend to be newer and in much better condition.

Now, I am not advocating for Uber, but lets not kid ourselves that the two experiences are even comparable from the customer's point of view.

You are taking that quote out of context. The full quote:

The article states that every time the plugin updates, it automatically opens up a webpage that serves malware. So technically the article is not wrong. NoScript forces your browser to open a malicious page, therefore it can be considered itself harmful.

By default, Place of Interest data is rendered as textured cube by demo app. If you want to customize this, check poi builder in demo app. You may replace default implementation with more complex. In future, there are plans to start adding specific builders for specific poi (e.g. builder for cache machine, street lights, etc.)

I am by no means a designer, but from an outsider's perspective(after all designs are consumed by regular folk like myself, not necessarily other designers) Lennart's work seems pretty well done. Especially considering that he is at the very start of his career.

Not to mention that some of the tools link to the Russian version of the site.
