Did this actually block the "Reseller Club" spam or are you just regurgitating the same posts? I'm aware that the traffic doesn't come to my sites and I've already filtered the known domains. This is showing up in organic search traffic. Does anyone have any idea how this is even possible? Are they spoofing Google and then hitting Google Analytics? This is a real annoyance. There's a clear pattern to this stuff so I'm amazed Google isn't filtering it before it gets to my dashboard.

Actually, was referring to small, desperate sites rather than the SEO motivation. Being spam, makes sense to target less popular sites. I'm not going to investigate every referrer on a busy site, but if I've only got a dozen referrers then I might check out one site sending me 50 visits.

I can confirm this. Got a site with very low traffic and one with 138K sessions a month. These russian spam referral sites are all over the low traffic site but they barely appear on the high traffic one. Not sure why Google hasn't blocked these yet. The same domains (ilovevitaly.com, darodar.com, pricer.com etc.) have been referral spamming since at least mid December. In fact the range of domains doing this was so limited it was relatively easy to set up exclusion rules in GA. The only annoying thing is that the exclusions aren't retroactive.

Although twitter has been getting more and more closed it'll take them a long time before they're as closed as Line. The word that best sums up Line and the company behind them is 'opaque'. My kids both had Line installed on their phones. When we got a Nexus 7 tablet they naturally wanted to do Line there as well. Bad idea. Line doesn't allow the same account on two devices. Line's solution? Instant deletion of the account. They lost a year of accumulated stickers and chats. The positive thing from my point of view is that they were completely discouraged and they no longer waste time on it.

Well, technically the bottom 15 degrees aren't either. What are the other reasons? Because you don't need to navigate around it to get somewhere else? If you're just going to omit parts of the globe because they're empty, why bother mapping seas or the Sahara Desert?

Why does no one seem to care that the bottom 15 degrees is missing from virtually every projection? If it's just because it's un-inhabited why not cut off the top 15 degrees as well?
