I think its good to realize that the waterfall method really encourages this. Thinking through everything before building can really help formalise informal workflows.

This sounds like the USA, or any other country when they are still growing and developing as it sounds like the UAE.

Did the industrialists in the UK care about sustainability? Did the European colonialists care about sustainability?

Only now that our countries somewhat have our shit together we start caring about how clean our air is, how long our stockpile of resources/money lasts and how good and kind we are to our earth.

When your biggest struggle is having enough money to eat. That's your priority. Later on when your biggest issue is pollution because it will shorten your lifespan that's what you fight for.

you mention using macOS keybinds with linux. have you found a way to set everything to macOS keybindings? it's super frustrating to relearn every keyboard shortcut and terminals not supporting it fully

I've also studied interaction design and service design. In my experience the conflict between what a user/designer wants and what the business wants are so completely different it's just frustrating to work in projects like that.

Getting everyone onboard every time, when they are only looking for you to solve their problem the way they want it solved is just horrible.

one of the difficult things is extracting and reusing data inside of html documents. So after you've written the html file it's done, you can't reuse it in a different page, no api nothing. let's day you want to reorder / filter a list it's impossible
