I may be in the minority here but I still enjoy the Joe Rogan Experience. As an avid listener the past 12 years I can tell you he is not "right wing" in any way. He was a liberal and believes the left "left him behind" when progressivism hijacked the democratic party. Most intellectually honest humans agree with him.

I second that. I do a 5:15 am class on weekdays even during the summer when I don't have to take kids to school. My wife pushes me to sleep in a little and do a later morning class but I would miss my 5:15 crew so I keep getting up at 4:30 a.m. I love the community in CrossFit.

Yes, I'm in Austin. Love it. Knew I'd love it. Was just a matter of time before we got here. Yes, there's a broad political spectrum with people here, but by and large, people are kind and friendly. Glad I bought a house 1.5 years ago. Can't see things slowing down any time soon.

Could not agree more... strong post. Moved from Chicago to Texas in 2020 and have been grateful for in-person schooling from the onset of the move. Watching my son's 60 year old 1st grade teacher stumble through hours of zoom was what did it for me.

Sadly, fear porn still has concerned parents forcing their kids to mask up, outdoors - even in Texas. My heart breaks for them.

I couldn't agree more. I fall squarely into this camp. I grew up with a father in prison and a school teacher mother that had to work 3 jobs to provide for myself and my three brothers. I always knew I could do better, and now I run a multi-billion dollar organization. I just knew I wanted more for myself.

My bigger concern now is how to raise up my four kids so that they come out motivated, hungry, willing to work, etc. I believe struggled makes great people, my kids won't know that type of struggle - fingers crossed. I ran the crucible, they won't... what does that mean for them?

Late to the game, but paring fasting with low-carbs, so you don't have the insulin/energy spikage (which makes it harder to fast), have been useful techniques for me.

I'm 37, picked up League of Legends last year, totally addicted. But I find the mental exercise involved with playing is worth the time invested. Plus, it's fun to play with the surprising amount of my friends who also play. I second the recommendation to pick up the LoL addiction.
