Can a robot follow your instructions ? When you come back from your walk, can you shout from outside to have it open the door ? Can you also shout from outside to have it pack up the valuables and hand it over to you ?

I had been a customer of Amazon for almost 20 years. I had Prime since day one. For me the breaking point was when they increased the fee and then decided to have ads for Prime Video. I sold the few Amazon stocks I had, and canceled Prime.

I found after I canceled Prime, my Amazon spending significantly went down. Sometimes I will add something to the cart, look at the shipping fee, and decide to abandon the cart. Canceling Prime made me realize I was ordering a lot of junk I didn’t need.

I switched from Apple Watch to a Garmin Venu. The battery lasts for a week, and many of the sensors are more accurate.

I had been an Apple Watch user until it died after I was in a water park. It is supposed to be waterproof, but I guess Apple wants me to refresh after two years.

I switched to a Garmin Venu 3. It is better than AW in many aspects, but is also lacking in some. But the Connect app is a lot better than Apple Health.

I wonder what happens to the gut bacteria ? Do they also freeze and get thawed ? If so, are those bacterium also having a special adaptation, or is it a function of the host ?

“The lawsuit filed in 2020 claimed Google misled users into believing that it wouldn't track their internet activities while using incognito mode. The suit argued that Google's advertising technologies and third-party websites that used Google Analytics or Google Ad Manager continued to catalog details of users' site visits and activities despite their use of supposedly "private" browsing, sending that information back to Google servers.”

Personally, I used to spend over an hour a day on Reddit. Now it has reduced to 10 minutes a week. Even when I go there, I see less quality posts at the top than before. So I think the blackout definitely had an impact, and Reddit is slowly going to become irrelevant.

I use an electric kettle to boil water. I got it a while back from Costco. I find it to be faster than our earlier method - using the microwave to boil water.
