It's completely normal for Netflix to work on that and end-consumers wont see a difference.

That's exactly what's been done by illegal release groups (pirated content) which are very picky when it comes to time to release (encoding/sharing) and do their best to encode fast enough while having a good viewable quality.

When it comes to encoding, even for a large library like Netflix's, time to encode is always lesser than time/bandwith saved while sharing/streaming.

As of now, Netflix 1080p raw content (not transcoded) is delivered at a bitrate of 5200kbps/5900kbps with no differences between the content (animated or live action - here I compared BoJack Horseman to The Ridiculous 6). While many (or even all) high quality release groups encode animated bluray at around 3000Kbps (1080p) (around 5500kbps for very high quality) while live action is encoded at around 11.0Mbps. The same difference is applied when the content is capped from TV and then encoded.

Same thing for me. Start the timer when the code is loaded and stop the timer when the user pressed Ctrl+Enter.

One other suggestion is to add Cmd+Enter for mac user.

I'm 25 too, I've been like you and I'm starting to getting out of this 'crisis'.

Like you I lived awesome things in the last 5 years, things that I would have never think I will accomplish.

I don't have a solution for you, but for me what's worked is reading books (non-fiction). In a book, you will generally find a condensed version of the life of the author and that's great. In a few hours you'll understand what he went through, how he did this or that and what they learned from that experience.

And that's great because at 25, your lack of experience doesn't help you make choices.

Here is a few books I can recommend you:

- Choose Yourself (James Altucher & Dick Costolo) - It's mostly about how to become your own boss, but there's a few chapter that are really useful when your a bit 'lost' or in 'crisis'

- The Obstacle is the Way (Ryan Holiday) - Really great reading!

- Satisfaction (Gregory Berns) - I'm in the first chapter but it's seems to be a good book.

These books are really easy to read.

I like the idea of separating the content from the presentation and the behaviour. But I'd really like to automate this.

Is there a way in SVG to concatenate strings? (I never really used SVG and can't find something on this in Google) .

Using JS I generally use the data attribute in html to set the image name and add _small, _big, _huge depending on the window size. The JS script will automatically set the right image. It's great but doen't work if there's no JS support.

In France using VLC to watch a DVD is illegal too.

I am using an early 2011 MPB. It was my first Mac (after using Debian for 4+ years). I needed it for my school work (using Adobe Photoshop was a must). I needed a computer I could easily carry (home to school and home to girlfriend's home, which is 700km from where I live).

I use my computer for web development, watching a few high resolution movies and playing to some humble bundle games. I didn't buy a MacBook Air because of the integrated graphic chip (some of my friends have one and using it with a 27' monitor made the MBA/MPB 13' really really hot, especially during the summer ; it was around 30/35°C in France). Plus I ended up doing my internship in a company where their core knowledge was working using WebGL. Anyone trying to use our product with a MBA/MBP 13' couldn't because of the integrated graphic.

I also tried to work directly on a server (for coding), it's really great but as soon as you don't have Internet (either you use your phone for the connection or you are stuck and you can't work) you are stuck. And I've been stuck more than I thought I will. I didn't know about mosh at the time and had also a few problems with connection/deconnection and that is really painfull when you are using a few ssh terminal at the same time.

As contingencies said, it's really about comfort, carrying one more kilo was not a problem for me and even if I could spare spending more money having the setup I needed and not being "stuck" when doing something is better than not spending a few euros.

I wonder what happened? Did they hit the usage limit? Were they contacted by Google in order to use the Business version (even if it's Christmas and no one is at work)...

Really nice! I just tried it for a few minutes and that's impressive. Works really well on Mac and FF Nightly.

A few things thought:

- I didn't find how to switch between apps.

- Setting a custom resolution will be a good feature.

- Copy/Paste from desktop to B2G

This is a very disruptive technology. I am wondering how much surface of solar panels (and "solar power") do they need to charge to answer to all the demand on a daily basis. And by extrapolation is this can be done widely (for buildings, universities, homes...)?

Any city has its pros and cons. I am currently an intern in a tech start-up in Paris, the city has many co-working spaces / incubators. The start-up scene is bigger every day, and yes you won't speak french 70% of the day.

Anyway just saying the document seems to be a nice post card from Berlin but the same things are happening everywhere.
