Why is k an integer, could it be any arbitrary string? Also does k need have some special properties such as primality?

Depends on the nonfiction but lately I’ve been gearing towards audio format for these kinds of books rather than reading a physical copy. Since a lot of the material follows a repetitive format with lots of examples, getting the main idea across doesn’t require hard focus studying mode. Of course it depends heavily on the book. I wouldn’t listen to Kant’s Critique on an audiobook personally.

I’m reading heretics currently! Curious why you listened to Against Eugenics and Other Evils as opposed to Everlasting Man? Seems like Heretics and Orthodoxy and Everlasting Man are the three works that people read most often by Chesterton.

Those are good recommendations though mostly modern. However, they’re notoriously known to be difficult readings for most people, even with a guide.

How did you like 6.824 specifically? I haven’t taken any systems courses as I’m not too interested in it, but I realize distributed systems is important in the industry as a SWE and was thinking of watching the videos. Any other courses you recommend on the topic?
