Came here to post this. We use Django Ninja at work (basically FastAPI style endpoints for Django), and it automatically does OpenAPI and Swagger docs for us. Whatever web framework one chooses in whichver language should def have this built-in by now, IMO, seems like tablestakes for anything larger than a "micro-framework"

I certainly agree with your first sentence (though I wish it was densifying and building subway more aggressively), but taking the bus in LA sounds awful, and I am not sure how you are defining "obstacle" and "comfort" here: "it's a very long walk (15 miles!) but it's a fairly comfortable walk where you won't encounter any difficult obstacles unlike the average American city."

It's not about LLMs, it's about deploying, training, data management/pipelines, etc., for normal ML models.

Yes, Windows with WSL2 is a perfectly good development machine. I use a Mac for work, Windows for personal. I prefer the Mac, but I'm not sure it's worth a price difference of over $1k between a Mac and Windows with comparable specs.

It is indeed a terrible library on multiple levels. Get rid of it. Just use the "native" Python SDK for the LLMs you are using for your POC.

How are you liking cursor? I tried it ~a year ago, and it was quite a bit worse than ferrying back and forth between ChatGPT and VSCode.

Is it better than using GitHub Copilot in VSCode?

Not as good as on Mac. It doesn't seem to have the same scope of settings configurable, and there are a few UI differences that seem unnecessary and marginally worse, such as putting the URL and "Site Control Center" thingy on top instead of with the left panel, as on Mac.

I still recommend though, fwiw.

I was a dev for a few years, went to law school, worked in law for a bit, and have now switched back to being a software engineer (thank God).
