Thanks for that insightful feedback, I honestly did not even consider that. I'll go ahead and remove the sign in requirement for the create recipe page since it does really work well.

Cooking is hard and even harder when you have to deal with ads and slow pages. Presenting prep-pear, a no fuss site that attempts to solve just that! And nodejs is 9M a week, python is 8M a week, tensorflow 50M etc. Pull count doesn't mean anything if you can't group it in some meaningful way. I'm a 15+ year PHP veteran and I can safely say I will never use that language again. There are too many other far better choices out there especially when running in a containerized environment. No apache, nginx, FPM, php.ini custom health check scripts, loosing requests when the container starts or stops etc.

Yeah but then who is responsible for maintaining the library? If you have a bunch of internal teams that depend on your library and there is an issue or a feature request, you're back to the same position of being the one that does the work to implement. Better to have a service IMO, you can get telemetry out of it and scale it out or replace internals without having to worry about who will get affected.

I had this exact thing happen to me when I tried to reset a Mac and wipe it clean. Would not start up and went into this doom loop when booting with the apple logo and a black screen. No amount of key combinations worked. I had to drop into DFU, which is a huge pain to get into to begin with and then use another Mac to recover.

Yeah all accounts are in the same OU. We do have human IAM users but those are "legacy". Nowadays Okta has been the preferred method of accessing AWS console and CLI. We do use terraform but that is also fragmented since each team has the freedom to innovate in their own way. People use CDK, SAM, CloudFormation, Terraform etc. This fracturing of IaC techniques has been a natural consequence of having too many silos aka. accounts and has made it hard to enforce consistency. I think having 2 or 3 accounts is probably ok for a small to medium size org. We are 96 humans so far.

Multiple AWS accounts makes life a living nightmare. We have 38 AWS accounts and it is incredibly difficult to maintain each one of them. IAM and even worse cross account IAM is horrible to author and maintain! Keeping track of resource limits and billing sucks. When using SSO, which we do, you cannot have more than one account open in the same browser at the same time. Use GCP instead, segregate your infra by project, use cloud identity/IAM and keep the head of hair you had in your 20s! You've been warned...
