Going crazy: we cold also adopt the container registry api for distributing gems, similar to how helm charts are also distributed nower days.

Gem.coop 10 months ago

So GitHub would be one option. Developers already discover all kind of things there. And each gem can still be provided by its “main repository”, but I don’t mind on whatever domain that repository is located. Somewhat how container images are referenced/distributed already. I think go already does it like that too.

having a decentralized, and maybe sometime unavailable, infrastructure would make more people think about the problem and maybe brings us more stable solutions than we have now.

Just a thought of mine: why don’t we switch fully to git? Commit signing, tag signing, Decentralize. Doesn’t that sound like a good alternativ?

kinda true, but I'm surprised how some apps expect you to watch movies upright (TV+, Disney), which makes watching movies laying down quite "non ergonomic". ;)

This is more or less only (sadly) a problem with apple headphones.

You can switch the current microphone on Mac by ALT-Clicking the audio menubar icon. Normally MacOS will remember and follow your decision, except when you have apple headphones. For some stupid reason MacOS forces the headphone microphone on those.

Setting FaceId is the first step, but you can also decide how often you have to reenter your password for reauthentication, or just so you don’t forget it. Directly beneath the face-id option.

IMHO: the AVP is a DevKit that is sold to consumers. But more polished then the typical DevKit.

But looking into the past and seeing how many people where eager to buy GoogleGlas/Oculus Devkits, why shouldn’t a brand like apple decide to push out a devkit as high price consumer device, instead of trying to keep a devkit for a upcoming product a secret?

I’m still wondering what direction the product can and will take from here on. If you compare it with iphone1 vs iPhones today, it could be quite interesting.

The author doesn’t believe his content is worth reading (full page „popup“). Good he included this feature so I can leave the page early.
