Once upon a time I had an original iPhone and a router that did nor have ipv6, but the App Store worked. So I don’t understand your "ipv4 addresses can’t be reached" part.
Why not send these books to Google to convert before burning them?
I bought a book a long time ago that appears to have been printed on a standard IBM 1401 line printer.

I wrote my thesis in 1976 on IBM punch cards. I hired a typist to add the equations.

The Intel 8088 has an 8 bit bus, and 8 bit registers. The size of an integer is 16 bits.
The first fax machine was made using synchronized pendulums and large pieces of paper with black and white rectangles.
$1,000 is way too low - any lobbyist has more than that in his pants for "walking around money." They spend more than that taking a Govt. Official to lunch.
I am a non dev. I just tried the recipe provided by leobelle using the files provided in gist.github and it works fine. I had to change "matches" to use "<all_urls>" though. ------------------- Now I get a popup whenever I start Chrome telling me to disable developer mode extensions -- how to get rid of that?
In my city they always send both an ambulance and a fire truck when an ambulance is requested. Perhaps they think that the caller may have forgot something and they could always use the extra help.
Of course there are laws against some of those things, with (probably) exemptions if there are fewer than X employees. One place told me "we are not hiring employees now, but we can just give you $yyy/mo."

I had 12 years experience after graduation with MS degree. They asked how much I make now, I said I didn't want to say. They asked how much I want, I said that I had an offer of $xx from yy (a well respected research company.) They ended up offering me $400/yr. less than yy, so I took it.

From the view of some consumers (I might be one,) a car may be considered to be a black box that is used to transport someone/something(s) from point A to point B. I do not automatically assume that it is always better to instrument a machine to control such a box rather than having a qualified person control it.
It seems to me that the foreman misrepresented his memory of what happened with his own patent as fact to the other jurors to be applied to the current case; and he got some stuff wrong. It should be made possible in highly complicated cases like this that the jury could bring in experts (with the judge present maybe) to explain the real facts. Or for the jury to ask questions to the witnesses/judge during the trial to obtain clarifications they need to make their decision.
I read somewhere that Apple uses hard links to directories for time machine.
One time I took a job at the offered salary. I was contacted by another company I had done some part time work for and they offered me a full time job at a considerably higher salary. I told my current boss and he said there was a company policy of max 15% increase in any year, but he gave me the 15%. I think the point is that you need to give your boss some numbers based on current rates at other companies. You don't have to give the company names unless he presses you very hard.
