If you want to add in another bash trick called Parameter Expansion[0] you can parse out the filename automatically with the special variable $_. Something like:

  > wget https://dl-cdn.alpinelinux.org/alpine/v3.18/releases/x86_64/alpine-minirootfs-3.18.4-x86_64.tar.gz && tar xzf ${_##*/}

Another option since you already have OSSEC running.. Create a script for OSSEC that interacts with the cloudflare api to block the flooding IPs. This way the flood doesn't get to your server.

You don't have to restart your phone. On Android you can close the app from the recent app list.
