No just directly in Steam. You can just add a non steam game to your library and select the .exe file you want, and steam will create a c drive environment for each non steam game you add.

In some cases you might have to change which exe file it runs, if you initially run a setup.exe which creates the real exe file you'd want to launch inside the c drive environment folder

Seeing as GrapheneOS appear to be recommended on the newest Pixel models, I wonder if it shouldn't be too difficult to get Arch Linux running on them with the AUR plasma-mobile?

It sounds like you are deeply passionate about the art of software in general. I am the same way (and also had an MMORPG addiction lol). Now it turns out people really appreciate and will pay great sums for me performing my hobby for them, which is fantastic for me. For many other people I have met though, they get into software because they hear it's a good career move and provide job opportunities. For these people, I totally get that you can just walk away from software

unless you really need a very new version of a piece of software, the safest bet will always be the latest LTS version of Ubuntu. You could perhaps just upgrade your laptop OS with the software package GUI?

Fun fact: You don't really need to install any of the "flavors" of Ubuntu to get the various desktop environments (KDE, GNOME, Cinnamon, etc.), you can just install them as a package! (`apt install kde-full`). You can switch between them when logging in.

Last I checked Signal has reproducible builds at least on Android, so it should be possible to verify it doesn't have back doors.

What people do for a living takes up about half of their waking life (and they probably dream about it too), so it will tell you so much about the person. Personally I love my job and what I do, so I really want to talk about matters at least related to it because my life does revolve around it indeed. So establishing some common ground with the other person can really help to start the conversation.

But of course the conversation doesn't have to specifically be about either job through progression.

I would use FreeBSD myself if it weren't for Void Linux. You get all the extra tools and quality of life from Linux without any bloat, and it has a minimal init system.

It's also very convenient to use if you need up to date software since it is a rolling release, but there are some things in FreeBSD which is better like reproducible builds.

Kind of like Arch Linux but without the chaos, and the community appears to be growing!
