Instead of trying to pass an amendment to the bill just for crypto they should be against passing the entire bill. What hypocrites- they do not care about freedom, only about what is good for their industry.

Also, it is clear that congress could care less about understanding what crypto really is in a deep way. They only care about using power and extracting their rents.

You deny reality --"White and black basketball players aren't different physically" seriously? The only reason blacks dominate bball is bc they are different physically. The same for why we have women's sports that exclude men. The reason why blacks need to create X for blacks is often because they can't compete without it, which just means yes groups on avg are different. Whites can't compete with black bball players. Groups on average are different. So yes, I can see why there is a reason and market for a NBA for whites.

Question to the mods- Would it be okay to make a Netflix for white people company and post it to hacker news?

Question for the founders- At least since Feb 2021, Amazon and Netflix have created and promoted black voices by creating a separate category. Is the problem you attempt to solve more visibility and is what Amazon doing insufficient?

Do diversity hires have never-ending job interviews? Or are they just streamlined in?

It would be considered oppression if black candidate where given as many interviews as white candidates.

Actually it is a serious question. When diversity is apparent what is the difference in the number of interviews required?

Are white and asian males more scrutinized to make up for the logical shortfall of affirmative action hires that just get to mess stuff up while the asians clean up their mess?

Did zoom not have forced arbitration? When can forced arbitration turn into a class action?

The courts are public and law can be made from new interpretations and context (precedent). Coinbase, Kraken, etc have forced arbitration. Can this be overturned when a new interpretation (say securities law) could be made by a court in the open, vs arbitration which is private?

I have a hard time learning react, because the 'language' used is so divorced from the concepts or actions of what it is the code does... If that makes sense. So I memorize some language chunks in react that does something and this is supposed to be 'programming?' How can I ever know what this stuff does? And why I'm supposed to use it. I just get frustrated with all these frameworks.

That is exactly what I was thinking.

Elizabeth Holmes.

I think even if you are a private company, lying is still a type of fraud. And private companies still have shareholders. Just because they are not public companies doesn't mean they can just lie to their shareholders, although perhaps it is more difficult to prove?

The only area that I can think of where you can get away with lying about an industry or asset is when it comes to crypto. You can make sky high predictions and because they aren't labeled as securities there is no victim. Because they use the word decentralized there is no one responsible.

This requires being the truth police. Everything should be allowed to be printed, even for a price. Everything is potentially incorrect or not truth. Everything is propaganda or motivated to be printed for some purpose and benefit of someone. The solution is to teach people to be independent thinkers, not invoke the thought police.

In our fascist mixed economy it is every gang against every other gang. I can't blame the gangs in the society we have built.
