The Math Myth 10 years ago

What is the generalised rule/case where small sample sizes are sufficient?

How does BuiltWith decides which sites to crawl? assuming it is too complex to crawl everything.

And how is the data/queries being sold without compromising it...

"when you don’t create things, you become defined by your tastes rather than ability. your tastes only narrow & exclude people. so create."

ok, so I have done the 'mistake'* and now an epsilon away from getting my PhD in CS.

What would be the best came coming out of it financial?

* I did enjoy the process very much, and learned a lot, but like the gist of the article - you can't feed on science.

Any advice for someone who is about to finish a PhD in CS? Like pro/cons of doing a postdoc vs. going straight to the industry, or best way to migrate to the industry?

Hi Derek, That presentation is awesome! Are the slides available somewhere? (the video doesn't capture them) Thanks

Hi, how come the mailing address for Pen Japan is in Finland? Is it for tax reasons? and how do you actually get the mail? Thanks and good luck with the new venture!

My feed in twitter (using tweet deck) always has missing tweets that were algorithmically filtered. It's only when I use the mobile app or web feed that I actually get all tweets.
