If using GSuite then head to the Gmail admin panel and create a compliance rule with 2 regex expressions.

1. Add expressions to: If ALL of the following match the message.

2. Expression 1: Type: Advanced content match Location: Full headers Match type: Matches regex (?im)^from:\sSendGrid(?:\s+\w+)\s*<[^>\r\n]+>+$

3. Expression 2: Type: Advanced content match Location: Sender header Match type: Not matches regex (?i)^[A-Za-z0-9._%+-]+@(sendgrid\.com|twilio\.com)$

Set the rule to reject or quarantine. Users will not see the messages unless the attackers change the From header.

There are inputs and outputs to life. Many, many, many things try to consume our ability to consume inputs. By consuming these inputs there is less time to create an output. These outputs are super important and can be anything: sports, 3d printing, art, woodworking, musical instrument, gardening, other hobbies or projects, etc.

The phone is an easy input to pickup. Make it easy to pickup something else to occupy that time to create something tangible (an output). Other comments mention "real world" and it is so true. Do something that rewards yourself in the real world. It'll be great for your kid too.

I do something very similar. I save files into a watched folder with Hazel (Google Drive, Dropbox and my Downloads folder). Hazel has a rule to rename the file with the YYYYMMDD_Filename.ext, and then depending on the extension filters it to a different folder, or with a PDF runs an OCR on it and stores it in Devonthink Pro.

It feels like the FBI has been caught with their hand in the cookie jar. They have at least one judge saying they have overreached, a House of Representatives hearing where the head of the FBI got dressed down, and a hearing on the 22nd with a ton of support for Apple from tech companies and other researchers. It feels like a desperate attempt to salvage a losing battle.

I have found gmail's IMAP service to be slow (only fetching 100 headers at a time). Perhaps others have had a better experience.

The local level is a good place to start; however, I believe the problem is more rampant. Google, Apple, and Pixar are mostly California companies. Google and Apple do have offices here in Texas where I work, and their policies were in affect here too. So the problem crosses state boundaries, which would need a Federal fix.

I have first hand experience with the anti-poaching policy, since I work for a different company that employs the same practice.

When I was searching for a job within town I was told by recruiting firms and other companies that they could not and would not talk to me, because of the agreements they have with my employer.

It makes searching for a job extremely difficult as one might suspect. It is effectively a job monopoly, since wages become fixed due to the lack of competition for jobs.

For the longer term, I would like to see a federal law enacted against the anti-poaching employment practice.

I was just talking to friends about this the other day. MP3s are convenient, but the fidelity isn't the same as a CD (or the nuisances of a record). Are we lowering our standards as a society, because we don't have time for Xbox, TV, Music, and Family. For the most part music is timeless. Will we get to the point where MP3s will be the only distribution medium and we lose the timelessness of Music? Perhaps we already have.
