Except this isn't a “me” situation. I mean, I can (and did) stop using Meta platforms, but everyone around me is sticking to them, and sometimes I appear in a photo or something, not to mention the infamous shadow profiles that Meta keeps of people not in their databases.

That's what one does when its product and public perception is way behind competitors.

Blog owner here. The notification prompt uses standard browser support for this. I know many people don’t like, but there are some that appreciate getting updates this way.

FYI, every major browser has a global switch to disable notification prompts like my blog did. It works as expected.

Pix isn't intended (yet) for foreigners to use. It's mostly for local Brazilians, and here it's brilliant: free for personal use, really fast (frequently instantaneous, has a 10 second limit), and accessible (every major bank and most of the smaller ones supports it).

I can understand why Visa and Mastercard are worried. Apple is as well, since it refuses to support Pix in Apple Pay, which is mandatory in Brazil. But honestly? Fuck these companies. (Sorry about my French, I couldn't think of another way to put it.)

I mostly try Apple Photos’ “magic” editing. It’s hit and miss, but when it hits, the photo gets way better. When not, I adjust a couple sliders (contrast, brightness, saturation). In both cases, only when I’ll use the photo. Otherwise, editing tools will be there for when (and if) I need them.

Other brands' USD 599 laptops are atrocious. Neo is guaranteed to be a reliable, pleasure, and long-term investment.

Ask ChatGPT on your phone if ever any bugs come up.

This is a dealbreaker compared to never (or even rarely) having any “bugs”.
