The PyCon Incident 13 years ago

Adria Richards is an evil cunt.

SendGrid is a shit company that I would never want to work for.

Same with my wife. Told her about blood diamonds, and how the price is artificially inflated. She agreed. Still got the diamond ring.

> In many countries simply accessing a public server without consent is illegal

1) Set up a public server

2) Wait for google bot to show up

3) Press charges against google

4) Sue in civil court

5) Profit.

A) What did you give up for $650K?

B) $650K seems such a low amount of money, it's barely enough to hire 2-3 senior level developers for a year, and rent an office space. I have no idea how you guys launch startups with such small amounts of money.

390 over three years.

Again, why are you only talking about children deaths, one group that's not even supposed to have access to guns? That's cherry picking.

A lot more people die from gunshots than people drown, even if you count all drownings, not just pool-related (in the US, of course).

You cherry-picked one child-dangerous item in the house. Yay for "logic".

Chess CAPTCHA 13 years ago

So you are, literally, arguing for security by obscurity. "Oh, my captcha is unique, therefore nobody will bother".

There are easier to implement unique captchas, than chess.

> I don't understand how Matthew can write a comparative review of encrypted chat clients and include one for which he has no technical information, not even a binary

Well that's the point. If there's no source, don't trust that crypto app.

Facebook's New Feed 13 years ago

This is ridiculous. Currently FB limits your feed photos to 400px (horizontal and vertical).

It looks like they are increasing it to 550px.

This, literally, makes no sense. Current monitors can easily support 1000px horizontal, and, as a photographer, I wouldn't consider that quality.

Both FB and G+ suck as photo galleries. I want to see large beautiful photos, not 550px thumbnails.
