Magic containers can only pull images from DockerHub or Github, no other registry is supported. I wish they supported private registries (or BitBucket). These limitations make me reluctant to use it, and I wonder what else is missing.

I understand the negative focus group part. The internet radio stations I like end up closing. I dislike advertising, but radio stations without income are unsustainable. This makes it hard for me to design products since they will likely fail! Maybe I should design them to be the opposite of what I'd like them to be...

The Postgres defaults in debian are understandably conservative to make it run everywhere. When I first installed Postgres I found it rather slow even on a good server. Only after reading guides on the web I found out why, the default RAM usage is limited to something like 32 MB which is way too low.

I had the same realization but with car mechanics. If you drive a beater you want to spend the least possible on maintenance. On the other hand, if the car mechanic cares about cars and their craftsmanship they want to get everything to tip-top shape at high cost. Some other mechanics are trying to scam you and get the most amount of money for the least amount of work. And most people looking for car mechanics want to pay the least amount possible, and don't quite understand if a repair should be expensive or not. This creates a downward pressure on price at the expense of quality and penalizes the mechanics that care about quality.

I've also cancelled my Intellij Ultimate subscription, because I feel Jetbrains lost its direction. They've made the classic interface a plugin and replaced it with a VSCode lookalike, and didn't have an integrated AI assistant that accepts your own API key. I'm ok with them selling their own AI subscriptions but let me use AI autocomplete on my pro subscription without further charges as long as I supply the LLM model API.

I also find Roo Code chats add way too much stuff. I'd would like something that only includes to the context exactly the files I want, and only calls the model when I want. Using AI Studio with custom system prompt works, but is not as fast, but with Roo / Cline the costs can explode if you are not careful to create new tasks.

You may find the Podcast Index [1] project interesting, it tries to create an open index of all podcasts, and currently has 4.5M podcasts. It has a downloadable sqlite database and an API.

Using llama.cpp on a 128 GB server running codellama-70b-python.Q4_K_M.gguf I get 1.3 tokens per second which is too slow. With Nous-Hermes-2-Mistral-7B-DPO.Q5_K_M.gguf I get 8.3 tokens per second which is usable.

Arguably there is a reference to female homosexual relationships in Romans 1:26, "For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature."
