I've been a designer for a long time and have been playing with all the AI tools for over a year. A few weeks ago I pointed Claude Code at our design system and got working UI in three prompts, and it made me rethink what the role actually is. Engineers have been here already. Designers and PMs are facing this transition now.
I really do think age verification should be at the device level, not per app or website. Parents can and should lock down their children's devices. I know device manufacturers don't want to take on that legal burden, but the tech is _right there!_
Terrible idea, but I do have a question. Like many, I have a self-hosted website and have seen a spike in traffic, particularly from Singapore.
Seems like the consensus is that these are AI scrapers. But could they also be from answer engines like Perplexity, or searches from APIs like Tavily?
