Armin, I managed to review absurd.sql and the migrations. I am so impressed that I am rewriting the state management of my workflow engine with Absurd. Just wanted to thank you for sharing it with us. I'll keep you posted of the outcome.

I think it's a brilliant idea. Absurd can be a very good match to highway_dsl as well (which is a domain-specific-language, for workflows)

By the way, what was the last time we experienced such catastrophic bugs in Python/Erlang/Ruby/Go... libraries? I think simplicity is deeply interconnected with security. Perfection comes from simplicity, and the choice of programming language can and will affect the security of your platform. Although I have to admit, bad engineering and over usage of libraries could happen in every environment, but Java technologies are unnecessarily complex compare to others tech stacks.

I partially agree with your statement. Writing anything in C++ would cause _unimaginable_ amount of pain and suffering. Better way is to isolate slow CPU heavy stuff and write it in C without suffering.

C or any "so called" efficient languages are wonderful for their use cases. Python or Erlang have other use cases. We have all of those languages for a reason.

I don't understand. people can try Svelte in few hours and for every experienced frontend engineer, it's obvious that React is not only slow but anti pattern. IMO Svelte is the best possible answer at least for now.
