To those, like throwaway on this thread, who say " Give it 5 years and this "AI slop" will write better than your best trained journalist. Get over it."
How does AI attend meetings, ask questions of local officials or bodies, provide in-person reports and original fact based copy?
AI can hoover all that up and rewrite and expand, but surely there will be a need to have boots-on-the-ground?
If so, who pays?
I am already seeing AI giants using local media copy in output with $0 paid for the knowledge and information.
...and have published a 'disheartening' invoice dated 31st Oct 2022 - then work with the company for another ten months. Apparently content to be on the "dirty side of the Internet" and doing something that made them think "Something didn't seem right."
A company that says "Tinloof is a technical SEO agency that conducts audits, and implements the necessary optimizations on websites and ecommerces to rank higher on Google and other SERPs" and puts out this content would be shooting itself in the foot reputationally otherwise?
eBay say I am connected to a dodgy account that was last active years ago. I am not connected to it - but must be some IP match or fingerprint from shared office or the like.
Zero ability to feedback or get anywhere from eBay.
The logic is rubbish as well, I am dodgy so stop me from selling... but fine to buy?! How?!
Hilarious you see the NUJ as competent enough for that. In my view the NUJ, NCTJ etc are (sadly) not the answer for the challenges of media in 2022 and beyond - it could be argued they are not fit for purpose.
