Hosted dashboard for your personal weather station.

https://weatherstage.com/

I had some custom build scripts and sites for my dad and myself and was thinking I could make a simple SaaS out of it. Super early and didn’t advertise anywhere yet since the actual dashboard is very simple right now but it works and I keep adding the features I want to use myself.

Example dashboard: https://warnitz.weatherstage.com/

If you want to try it out, I suggest you write me at hello at domain and I will get you going. Let me know the type of weather station you have!

Le chat doesn’t seem to know about this change despite the blog post stating it. Can anyone explain how to use it in Le Chat?

Shouldn’t this be built into a queue somehow? I’d love to see a queuing solution like SQS but has a built in fairness, where you can fully utilize a capacity but as soon as, let’s say customers compete on resources, some fairness kicks in. Is there anything like that?

Sadly Grafana (cloud) comes at a cost too. Anyone struggles with this horrible active metrics based pricing too? Not only Grafana Cloud but others do it like that too.

We moved shitloads to self hosted Thanos. While this comes with its own drawbacks obv, I think it was worth it.

Personal contacts. With this, I mostly mean LinkedIn. Found my last two gigs there. Once because an old colleague was reaching out and the other time when I made a post, that I am up for work. There are also tons of recruiters there looking for freelancers, at least for platform engineering I am getting weekly at least 1 or 2 offers.

Seems like half the unison team is here in this thread. Congrats, looking forward to try it out!

I can just imagine that moving to IPv6 is as messy on Azure than it is on AWS.

Don’t get me wrong, actually using it is simpler, you can just have your range and then be free to do whatever you want. But the fact that it was added later to a stack never made for it shows everywhere, which makes UX tough.

Currently struggling with metadata service weirdness and slowness in IPv6 land on AWS :’)

Can’t wait to install on my M2 Pro MacBook. I was a long term Arch user on a Thinkpad years ago and then switched to MacBooks. Apple Hardware and Linux is best of both worlds for me.

Congrats to the Asahi team!
