I agree with this article 100%. I have posted answers on quora to only have them disappear. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason on posts, moderation, and who sees what answer.

I will never go to a nursing home. I'd rather die. I have seen the inside of those places and I can assure everyone, regardless of how nice they look and whatever amenities it has, it is a horrible place to spend the last years of your life. My Dad died at home and that's the way you do it.

I think this is awesome but how many more Linux OS' do we need? The community needs to come together and hammer out the end user desktop issues and get a unified Linux out to the unwashed masses. Windows 10 can't be the only future.

The customer will not get $799 of value out of a Mac Mini. It will be made obsolete by Apple before that happens. Especially if Apple takes another 4 years to release the next one.

Fair enough, but it "values" the Mac Mini at $799 with a year-old i3 and 8GB of RAM? It valued the last one at $499 and it was 5 years old. I guess what the market will bear is really true...for Apple.

There is zero justification for the pricing. It needs to be starting around $399. Apple is still working the privileged pricing model. Considering it has year old processor and 8GB RAM. For $800 an i5 and 16GB should be standard. I can forgive that 128GB SSD but not the CPU or RAM.

Side note, why is a computer only for games, streaming, and mining bitcoin? It that what the end user experience is limited to?

This article/blog entry says really nothing for the most part. I know two people personally who interviewed for Google. Neither hired, one got to a sixth interview, the other only fourth. Both told me two exact things:

How do you solve a problem? How do you solve someone else's problem?

I counter with "who cares?". CAN YOU SOLVE the problem is the winning answer. I think Google is really guilty of wasting their time and the time of the candidates with that many number of interviews without any payoff. I know within 15 minutes if a person is going to a) fit in the culture and b) able do the job. If Google needs more than one interview to figure that out, then they are doing it wrong.

What Google is really doing is providing someone with the privilege of having google on their resume. I doubt it's worth all that.
