My spouse is looking for someone to help with general marketing for her Acupuncture clinic including google ads, SEO, and social media. The main goal is to drive initial consultation bookings for new patients.

Symbol Tax - cryptocurrency capital gains calculator
I made it for myself to make my life easier come tax season. Current solutions just didn’t meet my needs. I made it a desktop application with a perpetual license because I just didn’t see the value in a cloud service subscription for something I only need to do once a year. Hope to one day make it useful for others looking for alternatives, but operational cost is nothing, just a static website - so not really concerned if it doesn’t go anywhere.
Disclaimer - I’m not a tax expert/CPA, use at your own risk.
If anyone has the desire to see one in person, the Subaru dealership in Longmont, CO has a BRAT in their showroom.
During school, our AI class had a guest lecture from Monaca Lam talking about Almond [1]. I personally don’t have much interest in virtual assistants, so I haven’t actually tried to use it, but curious to see if anyone else has heard of it or worked on the project.

It is pretty annoying when you see NaN on a web page. I personally have fallen into the division by zero trap on numerous occasions.
I’ve had a wonderful experience using Vue in Rails applications and there are ways to do this without building a full blown SPA. The philosophy towards JS frameworks has usually been full throttle or not at all. I think there is a happy medium where you can use Vue when it makes sense to. This is a great application especially for existing projects that need to be more interactive.
Nimiq (nimiq.com) is browser-based blockchain, which makes integration into any website or application really simple.
Nimiq Funder is one such application, an embeddable JavaScript widget that allows your visitors to support your website/blog by mining Nimiq.
I've gone my entire life owning at least one pair of skis at a time. Although it's a physical object, the sport of skiing brings me a lot of joy. Could be synonymous to computers, it's the activity of developing|coding|building something that brings me joy, not the "thing" itself.
I've found a lot of inspiration from Indie Hackers and started to look at ways to make some money. I thought, why not start with existing projects I've put out there for free. Pong was one of them. Over 500 games have already been played for free, so the cost of admission has gone up to $1. I promise it will be the best dollar ever spent, Enjoy!
I sold a wordpress theme site on flippa for $400 a few years ago. It included the site, themes, and demo sites. I was surprised I even got that much. Given the time spent, It wasn't a very good investment.
Thanks for the upvote. The front page is quite bloated so I'll take the blame for that. The backend also uses a few third party javascript libraries.
The best way to describe the service is as a combined Content Management System and Hosting Service for Jekyll sites. Here's a few of the features in more detail.
* Multi-Site management
* Template Editor - A code editor[1] to manage partials, layouts, pages, etc.
* Template Picker - Ability to pick from a handful of Jekyll themes and the ability to import from any public git repository.
* A Markdown Editor for Posts - Markdown is parsed on the fly so you can see a rough preview (Not styled to the theme).
* Site Previews - You can preview the sites before publishing them to the public. Can be considered somewhat of a staging environment.
* Media Uploader - A very simple media uploader for images. Media can be inserted into posts easily.
* Private Git Repositories for each site - You can add your public ssh key to be able to clone the sites and develop locally.
* Hosting - (Paid service) Hosting is backed by CDN enabled Rackspace CloudFiles. Deploying sites is just a simple click.
Goals:
* Support for other static site generators besides Jekyll, such as Hugo, Middleman, Pelican, etc.
* Support for Collections[2]
* Expand Open Source Project - The project basically allows anyone to run their own "Statixite" and configure their own deployment/hosting solution.
* Expand templates (Thanks Jekyll theme authors!)
* Hope to get feedback from the community :)
Interesting, was it a blue screen of death sort of thing?
I originally designed and built Statixite as a service but decided to release it as an open source project. It works with Jekyll[1] sites, but with the hopes to support other generators. The main goals were to include the ability to manage multiple sites, manage posts with a markdown editor, and simplify the deployment process. Feel free to hack away at the demo[2].
I've packaged it as a Ruby gem on Github[3]. It's basically a Rails Engine that can be mounted on any Rails project.
Thanks, I've submitted the url. I guess I should have said relatively new to submitting on HN, but not entirely new to reading on HN.
Yes, I'm mostly talking about drug offenders that received a federal conviction and victimless or non-violent crimes. Thanks for your response.
New to HN, but it was intended to be a question, as stated: Leave url blank to submit a question for discussion. If there is no url, the text (if any) will appear at the top of the thread.
Thanks for the advice, I'm currently building my portfolio to attract potential employers, So I'm hoping someone will see the value in my work.
So not a promising future, but at least I gained some knowledge about working with various APIs.
