Theres a lot of speculation about TWA Flight 800 so thats pretty interesting. I some how stumbled on CPAN one night and the guy that wrote TWA 800 Crash Cover Up Conspiracy was giving a talk. Listening to the commenters afterwards, all were either engineers, pilots, or former air force and seemed to be in agreement with the author. Theres a TWA Flight 800 documentary as well.

Absolutely. Look at marijuana. Most people I meet that oppose legalization also oppose the government defining their moral values. It's backwards.

In both of the companies I've founded, I had to wear too many hats. As a result, I have not excelled in any particular skill, rather I've gained medium level of experience in variety of skills from development to product design to finance.

Well, speaking from a secular point of view, studying the Talmud in and of itself makes you religious regardless of the education you are getting from it.

Thats awesome. Congrats to your nephew and you and your family for sticking with him. Addiction is not easy; with marijuana people tend to push it to the side, but its just as important as the other drugs like opiates. Maybe not as addictive, but I need rehab, thats how I feel, so I just have to stay clean to avoid that type of repercussion. Realistically, because I have been so successful in the industry, NO ONE, even my mom (love you mom) would tell me I have a problem, but I do. And its tough on the soul to know that I have that type of problem.

The best I have ever felt was when I beat the addiction and took 6 weeks off when I entered college. First fall break I got hooked on the ganja again, and really thats been the story of my life since. But I had this thought that I literally just have to do nothing to get back to feeling that way. And for now, I feel like the terminator, "I'll be back." ha.

I did google it, thats not the point. It wasn't a "word" I didn't know, it was an abbreviation of a topic that was the main source of the top comment (at the time).

Thats not fair. I came to the comments after reading the article to learn more about the article. I think its considered poor quality to make a comment like ADF is the worst. Without referecing what ADF is first, or without being referenced in the article.

MVNO = mobile virtual network operator. My biggest pet peeve when talking about technology is not referencing the full name of something you are going to abbreviate as if everyone knows it. The article makes no mention of MVNO so reading your comment I had to google search what exactly you were talking about. A lot of coding books and developers tend to do this and its always bothered the heck out of me.

Companies have a staff for each area that goes around repairing the appliances and those people get jobs and the companies sell more appliances.

I bought a GE refrigerator last year. Just a few weeks after having it, I woke up one morning to the thing not getting cold. GE insisted they come to look at it, while I insisted they replace the refrigerator. Repair guy comes on the first visit 2 weeks later, tries some different parts, tells me, "I'll be back next Friday.", which was 7 days away. He comes back the next Friday and determines the refrigerator is unrepairable. It had heated up and completely warped the inside. The repair guy had to take photos and video for corporate. That means a brand new refrigerator went straight to the dump. It's upsetting. And note how much time it took before this poor guy could get to me. He was booked with appointments.

This was a month long fiasco. I had spent time researching and purchasing the refrigerator before hand, which was even more frustrating. During the month without a refrigerator my only option as I saw it was to bite the bullet and buy another refrigerator. That refrigerator has been great, albeit my standards for a 'great' refrigerator have lowered.

Exactly. It really reminds me of the boy who cried wolf. Republicans made a point to question Obama's faith and whether he is a secret muslim or if he was born here. Meanwhile abhorrent policies are being enacted, but we did get the birth certificate. You are right it won't replace the AC, but the technology could lead to a reduction in overall AC use.

Holy cow! As a Rotty owner myself (beautiful Ruby),and shes had plenty of damn problems, but 10k, holy shmoly man, I can afford it too, but ahhh, thats so killer. For the record, I probably woulda done it too.

List of problems: suffered from Panosteitis until she was 2, tore ACL when 1.5 years old, had eye entropy surgery. The toughest was the ACL. Shes 7 now, suffers from pretty terrible arthritis which I combat with different stuff.

At least using the iPad with the Joule and ChefSteps isn't as bad as using the iPad with the intelipan, a different 'smart' cooking device. With the intelipan, they make an internet connection obligatory and no option for not signing in. I would have returned the Joule if the app made me do all that. I dont mind using my iPad in the kitchen, I don't prefer it, but I do mind signing in to cook dinner...

Also, not sure why there is opposition. But for the banking, places are figuring that out, and its totally legal to recoop costs from YOUR patients in plenty of states, just can't sell to everybody.

I am going to suggest something that is not usually suggested. But I have seen it work wonders. Find a place where it is legal, and grow marijuana. If it suits you, smoke it, but ultimately start a garden and grow the plant.

People refer to the medicinal values of marijuana, but the one fact that is scientifically proven that is often left out is that having a garden and working in a garden is good for your mental health. That is not speculation.

This part is speculation. I believe a marijuana is the perfect plant to grow if you are fighting depression. First off, potentially you can harvest every 60-70 days. That means every single day you have to take care of the plants, but every day they grow significantly. Problems one day are disasters the next and if you can just stick to it every day, there's a harvest which can be rewarding monetarily or just intrinsically. If you are really good at it, you will find out that you are actually helping a bunch of people with all sorts of medical conditions. So the reward is comes fast, and then you can start again! Also, one more point, the grow lights can be another form of light therapy.

I have journaled about this stuff in the past, this is just a brief overview of my feelings of the hidden benefits of cannabis. Like the title states, this is just One Road and often the one less traveled...

For me a big part of games being boring is the lack of cheats and codes that come with the game. Developers/Game companies have decided HOW they want me to play the game and that irks the crap out of me. Take for example GTA5, I can only turn on invincibility for 5 minutes without having to reapply the code. What is the point of the limit? Can't I define the way I'd like to play the game? Sometimes cheating is fun and can be creative. Cheat codes could make a game like Assassin's Creed playable to those that just don't like the repetitiveness.

Some people I know only go to the porn sites to steal their code.

Sounds like your grandpa is pretty cool dude, sorry to hear hes getting towards the end. I was watching a skateboarding show called King of The Road and the young skaters went to Tony Hawks house and they successfully skated the full loop. When they were done Tony Hawk said, "This was a life's work for me. These guys come here and do it in an afternoon and are just like see ya." Anyways, that doesn't help you with an application, but might be fun to find a skateboarding documentary (Bones Brigade) and some other stuff and go thru the history of skating with him. The improvements and the skill is unbelievable. Good luck, enjoy the time while you got it.

In this case does AC stand for air conditioner?

In my experience, usually on big shipments like air conditioners, FedEx and UPS prefer for you to pick it up at their warehouse. So if they made a mistake there, my guess is its a relatively recent policy change.

I spoke to my mailwoman the other day, and she told me USPS will be delivering the majority of the amazon prime packages. And what that told me is that the other companies are trying whatever they can to get that amazon order, even potentially guaranteeing delivery of 'AC's, when thats not something they would normally do.
