I agree that all mainstream media, no matter if it's on the right, the left, center, government owned or not -- it's all full of bias to push the narrative each organization cares about.

Maybe 5% of the news reported is worth paying attention to, the rest may as well be garbage.

Why is that a bad thing? Every single race or culture has a right to want to preserve itself. Maybe you have some personal issues you need to work out before you go off projecting self hatred onto other cultures.

Been using pnpm for about 3 months solid now and I'm a huge fan. Most packages rely on node's built-in resolve system and have no problem with pnpm's symlinks. For packages like Jest and Webpack that have some custom resolve logic, I just use the `--shamefully-flatten=true` option and everything is perfect.

Saved me over 6GB on my file system across several projects. Big thumbs up from me.

Worth noting, this is from the creator of Node.js, Ryan Dahl (not me - just sharing). The project is in very early stages, but considering it's from Ryan... it's definitely a project to keep an eye on.

This is great news and I wish more companies would follow. There are so many borderline sociopaths in management roles -- people that may know quality but lack empathy, and only know how to get what they want from employees by essentially bullying. Often managers above the bullies either don't know or don't care as long as they hit the performance metrics they're seeking.

Think of probably one of the worst bullies out there that achieved the pinnacle of excellence: Steve Jobs. Would Apple have had just as much success or even more success earlier if Jobs wasn't so heartless towards his direct employees? I would bet on it.

Point being is that it's possible to be empathetic and still ask your employees to strive for more. If your employees are afraid of you or view you as someone that doesn't listen and doesn't have their back, you might be missing out on collaborations where they have great ideas that maybe need a little mentoring.

Very impressive quality, but dear goodness I hope devs stick to using it in cases where native scrollbars are unsuitable for some sort of complicated UI. Styling a scrollbar "just because" is a terrible experience -- I expect all scrollbars I encounter to work in the consistent fashion my OS + web browser provides.

That's my suspicion as well. Years ago I consulted for an agency that was full of negative reviews on GlassDoor, I noticed each time I checked back every few months that a huge number of the previous negative reviews would be gone and their rating would be higher.

The garbage article I posted at least sheds a little bit of light on the fact that snopes is not the bastion of integrity that for some reason it's being portrayed as via both Google and FB.

Also congratulations if that's literally the most severe case of ad hominem you've ever seen.

Also worth noting: I linked that article because it was the first source I found via searching that highlighted all the shady stuff that founders have done. I'm not aligned with the additional views of the author of that article.
