Are you managing developer time or just whistling Dixie?

I still have Kinect1 for Xbox 360, and it is really amazing. Dance Central is great for learning how to dance and exercise. Kinect Party my kids play till this date.

When Microsoft released it one Christmas season it sold really well. 10 million units sold. It was a huge success.

Then Microsoft bundled it with XBox One but didn't include any killer Kinect games with it. That "killed" it more then anything else. Some people liked voice commands, but you don't buy Kinect for voice commands. If they would include newest Dance Central or some other killer title as part of the package, a lot more people would buy into it.

Personally I was waiting for such a game to buy XBox One, but it never came. Microsoft could have used Kinect to really differentiate themselves, like Sony is doing with VR, but instead they just dropped it.

Yeah, we are looking into it. Interactive provides great information to see what is really going on.

Should be back up now. Mostly... If you get page not found, new DNS record didn't propogate yet. You can still use dotnetfiddle-prod.cloudapp.net or 191.234.40.

Sorry for interruption. Lesson learned.

Thanks for the info. I thought changing Scale would keep original server and just add new ones. But I guess it is a bit more intrusive.

Small interruption. Looks like scaling to 2 servers on Azure to handle extra traffic crashed the original one.

Using Azure cloud - medium Web Role server (2 x 1.6GHz CPU, 3.5GB RAM). It is set to auto-scaling so it should be adding new instances if first server is being swamped.

The jobs are done using Worker processes and there could be up to 20 of them running at the same time.

Just because you have wife and kids doesn't mean much.

How much quality time can you afford to spend with them if you are trying to build a successful business at the same time?

What I found interesting was: "Founders tended to be middle-aged—40 years old on average—when they started their first companies.".

I always thought that starting a new company was driven by the fire of youth, but it seems like it is mid-life crisis that may also be responsible in many cases.
